Thank you to all who recommended this wonderful place. My wife and I have been going once a week since I heard about it on here.

Their's is the best Chinese food I've ever had hands down. Better than Trey Yen. Better than Royal China. Better than China Rose. This has become our strategy - we order one dish that we've had before, and one that is new to us, and we share them. We've never had a single dish that wasn't outstanding.

Here is the menu:

Totally agree. It is fantastic. The chicken dish with all of the different types of peppers is the best. I think it is permanently on the specials board and not the normal menu.

Shrimp and Eggplant, Beef, Chicken or Shrimp with Hot Garlic Sauce. My wife likes Honey Chicken, but it doesn't come with any vegetables, which I think is almost essential.

ETA: The pan fried pot stickers are great and i wish I knew how to make their dipping sauce.

Egg Rolls are the one disappointing thing. They are tiny, and I don't think they make them in house. I have bought a frozen tray of 20 identical ones from the International Market off of Cleary at a cost of about $2.25. The Vegetable Spring Rolls are Vietnamese style, not fried. They're good, but not egg rolls.

The majority of patrons are Asian and we have yet to try the kinds of dishes we see them ordering - the Hot Pots and soups, for example. My wife made it clear she will not be eating intestines EVER.

This is my favorite Chinese place, as well. Last time I was there Adolfo Garcia was picking uphill take-out at the same time as me. My favorites are the salt-and-pepper dishes (chicken wings, quail, pork chops, etc.), beef with XO sauce (the intestines were a little too "ripe" for my taste, so I now sub them with beef), Chinese-style fried chicken, and walnut shrimp w/ red snapper sauce. Only thing I didn't care for was the congee -- I'd never had it before, and it was just kinda 'meh.'

anything "salt and pepper" there is really good. The name does not describe the seasoning properly, it's garlicky and spicy. They do fried oysters and wings tossed in it, and even have quail and frog legs tossed in it.

I also think they have the best Singapore Mei fun.

Mandarin Duck/chicken any good or just the standard fried breast with some light sauce over it on a bed of lettuce? Just cannot find good mandarin duck anymore anywhere.Very disappointing but I'll keep trying!!

when this place first opened they had the roasted ducks hanging in a hot case in the restaurant by the register. That's been replaced with an aquarium now but duck is still on the menu.

Powerman was the one I first saw mention it on here. I was an Imperial Garden/ Young's Garden person. But both fell off and aren't as good as they used to be.

The menu doesn't offer combination plates, but they do have them if you ask (fried rice and egg roll with meal)

Most items just come with white rice if you don't ask for the combination. And really the combination is something i have only seen in the last two visits.

The egg rolls there are their weakest item though. Not at all fat South Kenner style like Young's or Fong's

I was there on Mardi Gras day & was the only non-chinese table in the whole place. I like the duck noodle soup, the chicken wings are addictive.

I think Powerman and I were both talking about it on here at the same time when it first opened. I’ve eaten there a large number of times and my parents also go there at least once every 2 weeks and we have never had a bad meal. It’s the only food I’d drive to Kenner for.

I just purchased a house in kenner and was searching through old Post about Kenner food establishments. I checked out little Chinatown after reading through one of these threads and it lived up to the hype. best Chinese I've had in the metropolitan area. Had the peeking duck and salt and pepper wings. Both were excellent.
