What is your favorite / best / "oh my God you have to try it" dessert?
I have no clue since my dessert is usually a port wine. I've a friend coming in from out of town who absolutely loves desserts so I could see even going to a restaurant, sitting at the bar and just having dessert if it warrants. I'll pass on the famous bananas foster, but any suggestions are welcomed.

I don't know about "OMG" desserts, but Mr. B's hot buttered pecan pie ala mode is pretty close to that. Had it earlier this month.
Most places have a good rendition of creme brulee which is one of my favorites.
I like Galatoire's banana bread pudding.

Sounds like Salon by Sucre would be ideal for them.

I'm with you in that I'm a big fan of Creme Brûlée. I'm not a big dessert person, but I have trouble turning it down when I see it on a menu.
And the soufflé at Comanders is the bomb.
