Kid Friendly NOLA Dinner Ideas

Our babysitter just backed out of watching our 2 year old tomorrow night so it looks like we'll be dragging the little one along on our romantic Nola getaway. We have reservations for Commanders Palace on Saturday night but will obviously be canceling due to our kid coming with us. Any dinner recommendations for a place that is kid friendly on Saturday night in New Orleans? Would like to stay in the CBD/warehouse district/garden district/uptown areas.

The child can make all the noise she wants in Peche and she'll fit right in.

I've taken my kids to peche and domenica several times. i'd recommend an early seating though

You are in luck as this is a situation, dining with kids in New Orleans, I find myself in repeatedly.
Freret St. is the absolute best for this. There are tons of restaurants that all serve food familiar to kids and kid friendly, but with care and attention and cocktails. Its like the culinary equivalent of Shrek. Ancora, High Hat, Company Burger are very good for kids and adults.
But that may be more of a hike than you are willing to take. As always, this depends on your kid, but in the general Warehouse/CBD, Butcher would be a good spot to go. They have a hot dog and other sandwiches that are kid friendly. The seating my be problematic for a kid though. Promise the kid if they are good they can have a chocolate chip cookie. They make a killer one.
Domenica as mentioned above would also be an excellent choice. Order a pizza for the kid as soon as you get in, it will come out in no time. Order some apps and a pasta or two, some booze and you will be set.
Or if you are a trusting lad, get a babysitter. There is a Tulane Med list serve. All the babysitters are in med school and we use them a lot.

Peche, Couchon (both really loud anyway)
Antoine's is really good with kids.
As is Commander's Palace, (but not at dinner I assume, but with 5-7 year olds at lunch and Brunch really good)

Dominica and Dragos are kid friendly.

The only time I've been to Commanders is when I was a kid. I think it was friendly

I only suggested based on ease of getting a table this late in the game. Probably wide open this weekend.

If I can find a babysitter can I have your commanders reservation?

Ye Old College Inn may work as well. It serves fries and a burger that could be fixed up for a 2 year old, assuming the child eats fries and ground meat.
Luke might work. Mandina's would definitely work.
For something other than dinner and when you can miss a line, Camellia Grill is an option. Two year old in our family loves going there and watching the waiters.
Agree on the other suggestions.

how old? my 9 year old has been to Commanders. all my kids love Peche, Ruth's Chris, Muriel's. if your kid has manners and is not 2, an early dinner anywhere should be fine. actually, my youngest is two and has done Peche, Muriels and Ruth's, but it's like fishing. conditions need to be right.
