For those interested in paying $10 per beer, head on over to the Pelican House because they are releasing Ghost, KBS, and Dr Hoptagon tonight @ 6PM. I personally can't get past the $10 for one frickin beer

They will get it. Cheapest I have seen Ghost is 5.50. Usually around 7.00 in NOLA.

It was a joke because they were the only bar during craft brewers week that charged cover ($30, I believe) for their event with some of the brewers and then when you got there, they released beers one by one over time so each time was a line with every person in the place to get the beer.. and then the beers were $8-$10 each on top of that cover you paid.
Instead of serving their own food and possibly not needing a cover, they had like a hot dog station or something catered by City Pork.
This is just what I was told and read on here. I did not attend.

LL covered it in a nutshell in her post.
But that was the final straw for me. Charging covers, poor customer service, caring more about bands than the actual beer, etc. There are too many other good places for me to give my business to in this city.
