I wasn't a big fan of the Doubledog.

I had a Double dog on draft last night and it wasn't too too bad. Purple Haze was terrible to me now though. Strawberry is sweet. Unnaturally sweet.

If it weren't for Timber Beast, Lazy Magnolia would likely be behind Abita.

I agree with this... but I think Timber Beast might be the best LA/MS beer that is year-round available now.

So that bumps them up a lot in my eyes.

I might need to try it again... I haven't had it since the 25th Anniversary bottles, and those were disappointing.

We need to get Crooked Stave's porter in on this discussion. It's VERY good.

those bottles were far too inconsistent

one would be too much vanilla, the next none at all

Sorry for the confusion. I must admit I've been thinking about crooked stave a lot recently.

I had Double Dog on draft a month or two ago, and I liked it.. It had a little bit too much vanilla flavor, too sweet but overall I did like it.

It was on the sweet side. An after dinner beer.

Timber Beast should be writing checks to Kim Jong Ir on this board. His endorsement alone has sold thousands of 4 packs all across the south

Yeah, but s14suspense sold me on draft Timber Beast being much better than the bottle version.
