Cleveland's best restaurants, are as good as any cities... but the quality/quantity from top to bottom is no where near the NOLA scene.

The wife and I are spending a weekend back home, in NOLA, in a couple of weeks and our culinary agenda consumes us....not to mention the freedom from kids and balcony partying.

If River Oaks is considered a burb...

I was kidding about yesterday's Houston Food thread

List is bunk. Houston should be #2, behind the city that encompasses Lafayette, Broussard and Scott.

just take a trip down bellaire/chinatown in houston and that should justify the ranking.

no offense to other cities, of course.

While it's nice to see Atlanta's booming restaurant scene get some attention, the list is pretty bizarre.

Anytime New Orleans, San Francisco, and New York are all not in the top three it is a flawed list.

Houston may be in the top 5 to 10 but gtfo with 1.

Nashville ahead of New Orleans, San Diego, San Francisco? Yeah...no.

ETA: This list has Kansas City at #3, Albuquerque at #6 when Santa Fe is vastly superior in the food and drink category, and fricking "Polish Boy" Cleveland at #7? What a horrible list. Sorry San Francisco and New Orleans...you just can't beat a good Polish Boy!

I usually stay away from these threads that have praise being heaped on Houston by some media outlet, but it's nice to finally see people taking notice of all the great food we have here.

I don't know about #1, but Houston is one of the top 5 food cities in the country. We've come a long way from Lupe Tortilla(which still gets recommended on this board for some reason).

If you haven't been to Houston in the last 5 years, you're missing out.
