If I am able to be there. I have to work this evening, so if it is an early game I am out.

I brought out a keg of an Amber I did 3 weeks ago to the Ole Miss game... Put CO2 on it Thursday night at about 30PSI. Shook and fridged at around 40* till Saturday. Dropped the PSI to about 15 and served. Wasn't perfect carbonation, but it served its purpose and the whole thing was gone pretty quickly.

I'm off work tomorrow and I think I am going to try and brew 3 different brews this weekend. I've never done more than 2 so I'm pretty excited.
It's my first year hosting Thanksgiving and my mom told me I needed to supply the beer...... (All my family has bought me brewing supplies at some point or another).
Pretty sure I am going to do an IPA, a pumpkin beer, and my Black Ale which has been a fan favorite every time I brew it. Should be a good combo of beers for thanksgiving.

That makes for a slightly long weekend but it's cool to get that much done.

sounds like an awesome weekend...
Only way I'd try 3 in a weekend is if I could do two batches at once. I did two batched back to back once and I'll never do it again.
Unfortunately I haven't any time to brew lately, but we finally competition circuit off the ground so that's a positive. We've been talking about it for years so I hope everyone has a good time and it goes well.

What's up with the competition circuit that you're talking about?
I've juggled two at once with only one burner too. Fun day.

Next year Louisiana will have a homebrew competition circuit similar to the long star circuit in Texas .
We'll keep track of winners of medals from eligible competitions and at the end of the year award 'Louisiana Homebrewer of the Year' and 'Louisiana Homebrew Club of the Year'
It still a work in progress, but more info is available here and on Facebook

I've got to get back to brewing myself. I've considered a two-brew day.
I dey hopped the saison I have kegged and found out I only have about a gallon and a half left, and probably have about the same of the porter. My wife wants more of the porter, and I want an ipa, so will probably go with a Pliny clone

I got buy in from some key people, so Brasseurs will host the finale comp in November. Crazy to think about it all coming together.
Thanks for pushing the bolder up the hill to herd some cats and get this together

I'm brewing a fresh batch of 100% Brett Pale Ale this weekend. I'm going to add some oak to this batch, since I really like the way the oak showed in the Porter. I recovered the oak chips from the 100% Brett Porter and will use those to ferment this batch. There should be plenty of Brett in the recovered oak chips but will they come out to play in the starter?

Hell yeah. I've been wanting to submit my brews to competitions but getting them to out of state competitions have been a hassle. I'm going to have to plan my homebrews out to submit them to each competition.

I think this is going to be great for Louisiana competitions and homebrewers..
Really excited that you got the buy in you needed and were able to come on board. Everyone knows you guys know how to throw an event AND I really didn't want to drive to Rayne, LA for the awards ceremony.
Finalized the circuit schedule this morning...
February 2015 - Good Time Brewers Classic
March 2015 - Bataille Des Bieres
May 2015 - Larry Fest
May/June 2015 - MMMM Competition (Shreveport)
July/August 2015 - Redstick Brewmasters Competition
September 19th 2015 - Roberts Cove Germanfest
November 2015 - Brasseurs a la Maison Competition

Dang, how is it I'm just hearing about this? Maybe I need to come to the meetings more often.
