Hellman's Mayo
French's Yellow Mustard
Heinz Ketchup
Herdez Salsa Casera
Marukan Rice Vinegar
Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
Huy Fong Sriracha and Chili Garlic Sauce
Huy Fong Sambal Oelek Chili Paste
Red Boat Fish Sauce
Lalah's Madras Curry Powder

While all of the above brands are our usual purchases when it comes to restocking condiments, Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt is a non-negotiable, accept no substitute!

Others already mentioned:

I can't tell the difference from store brand.

Sorry for ya.

Louisiana Fish Fry
corn flour from one brand is better than another?

Louisiana in the Blue bag is corn flour AND corn MEAL with spice and seasoning added. The yellow bag "New Orleans Style" is only corn flour, but it's also seasoned.

To answer the call of your question as to whether one brand of corn flour is better than another ... YES. All corn flours are not created equal. Some are milled finer than others. I spent my late teens and early twenties battering seafood in a kitchen having my hands in corn flour for 10 hours a day making 500+ orders of fried seafood on a Friday night ... I developed the ability to feel the difference. Indian Girl was always the best. Over the counter at your supermarket, Zatarain's plain unseasoned if you just want plain corn flour. It's finer than the others ... less grit. I'm loyal to Louisiana Fish Fry in my kitchen, though. I like the flavor.

Karo Corn Syrup
Corn syrup is corn syrup.

It is, but I'm loyal to the brand. Plus their recipe on the bottle for pecan pie is the GOAT.

quote:
Camelia Beans
Beans are beans.

Again, I'm loyal to the brand. You're right that there's really no difference though.

quote:
Progresso Bread Crumbs
You can tell the difference in bread crumbs?

ABSOLUTELY. Some aren't seasoned as well, and some have a larger "grind" of crumb. Don't disrespect your artichokes, eggplants, or any kind of paneed meat with inferior breadcrumbs.

Jif PB is the best if Palm oil and sugar is your thing. Any PB that the ingredient list is peanuts and only peanuts is 10x better than JIF or that peter pan and skippy for those fan boys. Try Richards, trade joes, whole food store brand.

I’m more of a “PB is a dessert/treat” kind of guy so mark me down for Jif

This is pretty solid for store bought sauce. And you're right, I unfortunately can never find it.
