We went tonight. We will never go back. That was the worst dining experience we have had in a long time. That was the worst burger I have ever paid for outside of a school cafeteria. I hate Mcdonald's, Jack-in-the-Box, and Burger King, but Frost Top is definitly worse.

Food isn't too great, but I do love their root beer... wish it was free refills though. I think they melt vanilla ice cream in that barrel or something.

Someone mentioned this place a while back. One of the cooks came into our lab oneday for some testing and you could literally smell his arab arse from three rooms over. I dont even look to my left when Im rolling down government nemore bc of that smelly fricker.

If you want to smell an Arab, then I suggest that you go to one of The PoBoy Express in the Baton Rouge area. I went to the one in Denham Springs last month and one of the cooks was leaving work. Boy, you could smell him a block away. Apparently, a lot of Arabs don't use deodorant.

I haven't been there in a few years, since I live in NOLA, but last time I went it was a tremendous classic southern hamburger, fries and root beer.

I remember in the mid 80's when it was Blues Fried Chicken.

Got a hamburger poboy a couple years ago and the patty was actually chewy and rubbery with little flavor. Only thing edible was the root beer!

That's too bad. That particular location was an outstanding spot to get a poboy in the 80's.

To put this in perspective,we went to the Mall of La afterwards. I ate Chinese at the mall. It tasted like the best food I have ever eaten after trying to take 3 bites from the nasty Frost Top burger.

I have been to that location a few times. Granted, not in the last 6 months or so, but I certainly don't remember it being that bad. As always, the root beer is delicious. In my experience the burger has always been at least as good as fast food. Just wondering what was so bad about it.

I've had it twice in the past year. It has either dropped off significantly since my youth decades ago, or I have sanctified it as some former glory, that it probably wasn't?

The burger was hard(overcooked and yet had a greasy taste/high fat %), the fries forgettable..

Even it's namesake, possibly living off a reputation, and inconsistent, as the carbonation level varied greatly in my Root Beer, one was great..one trip it s@cked. Neither any better than Barq's or an Abita Root Beer.

I went a few weeks ago and I agree, the hamburger was pretty bad. Disappointing, because I don't remember it being that horrible the last time I went (about a year ago). It tasted like what others have described: chewy, rubbery, and almost like a school-cafeteria burger. I didn't finish mine either.

If I ever go back, I think I'll stick with a root beer float and some onion rings.
