re: 30 thermal coyote kills in 2 minutes - TyOconner on 2/20/24 at 9:07 am Has anyone read that killing them actually increases populations because their hormones increase and they have more pups in the litters?
I would love the idea of keeping coyote numbers low on my land but I want to be sure it doesn’t make things worse. I have the full set up to hunt them but haven... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Food plot turkeys. Feliciana’s - TyOconner on 2/14/24 at 4:58 pm Makes sense. We burn blocks in a three year rotation. Place is full of turkeys so it makes sense. Also seems to be great for deer, rabbit habitat, and definitely smaller birds. Saw a covey of quail recently and we are just north of SF. Doves love the burned areas too. ... re: Food plot turkeys. Feliciana’s - TyOconner on 2/14/24 at 3:21 pm You mean disc up plots and burn right before turkey season? What does that do for them? Open up bugs on the ground? Create new seedlings coming up for food? ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Do you believe in ancient civilizations? - TyOconner on 2/14/24 at 2:20 pm Do you not believe in them? Plenty of bones that have been dug up that say they did exist. ... Posted on O-T Lounge Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Food plot turkeys. Feliciana’s - TyOconner on 2/14/24 at 9:00 am What the other two said, plus the burns create food through the regrowth. If you have food plots you are already managing for deer then keep those up as usual. Deer and turkeys eat many of the same things. ... re: Anyone else find serious love for Mardi Gras creepy? - TyOconner on 1/15/24 at 10:25 am It’s one of the few things to get excited about in Louisiana. People celebrating their culture, history, and taking a week or so to relax per year is not what I would define as creepy. ... Posted on O-T Lounge Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Anyone over 50 just start over on golf? - TyOconner on 1/11/24 at 8:35 pm Yep sometimes you just have to go through it. Plateaus, confusion, these things are unfortunately all part of the journey. Busting through and making the shot you dread into your bitch and learning to understand the things that seem like a black box make it all worth it. ... re: Anyone over 50 just start over on golf? - TyOconner on 1/11/24 at 7:17 pm Instruction and putting in the time will get you where you want to go. That being said, golf isn’t easy so you have to be prepared for the grind. Being over 50 won’t do anything but force you to swing smoother (if you want to stay healthy) and sharpening your short game. ... Posted on Golf Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Car Donation - What is this Scam? - TyOconner on 1/11/24 at 6:48 pm There is a little bit of confusion in this thread. First, kars for kids does work with Jewish kids but they help many other organizations as well such as cancer research and things like that. Second, I have donated cars to multiple places including Kars for kids. It is true that if they turn around ... Posted on O-T Lounge Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Carter Plantation - TyOconner on 1/9/24 at 9:38 am Best greens in what area? A five mile radius of the course? Surely you don’t mean the whole BR area. Carter is plenty serviceable but a nice course it most certainly is not. ... Posted on Golf Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Ball Markers - TyOconner on 1/5/24 at 8:47 am I know this kind of cheating but you could always send the logo to a custom place on the web. Doubt they would care about copyright for a defunct club.... Posted on Golf Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Mississippi...leader in the clubhouse - TyOconner on 1/2/24 at 5:55 am Link is busted but I googled it. I would have thought FL would have a low average index with all the golf there. Guess it’s mostly retirees who aren’t actually worth a flip at golf. Very strange that MS and LA are #1 and #2. Poorest states with the best golfers. ...
