When I'm cooking I like to have an ice cold beer, wine or even a cocktail sometimes. Does anyone else imbibe while cooking? What do you enjoy when doing so?

I'm having a nice cold Abita Octoberfest right now while panee'ing some pork chops for dinner.

I'll answer for the board. Of course we do

Beer for the most part or red wine depending on the meal

My daughters friends say they always remember me in the kitchen cooking with a glass of wine in my hands.

Yup, I drink when cooking. I also like to put on a pandora station that reflects what I'm cooking. If I'm making gumbo, I'll put on Zydeco. Rolling sushi gets Japanese music, and so on.

Never. That's how bad accidents can happen in the kitchen. Knives, fires, glass, etc.

If I have a grill, smoker or fish fryer going I got a cold beer in my hand.

Only when I'm outside, I don't typically drink during the week.

99.9% of the time yes, unless I'm sick or something.

Always. Every single time. Even if it's breakfast (I only make breakfast on weekends)

I usually drink a nice big screwdriver while cooking - mostly because my back hurts if I'm spending 30-45 minutes on my feet and cooking. Dole no-pulp OJ (closest thing to fresh squeezed) and American Harvest vodka.

It does not feel right to cook without a beer or a cocktail.
