re: Br people - the eggo waffle smell - 03GeeTee
Community coffee, I guess it could smell like eggo waffles if you burnt them....

re: Need/want a red dot for my AK - 03GeeTee
I drilled and tapped the dust cover for the Stormwerkz rail on my krink, but that's not an option for a standard AK. Either go with the ultimak or you can use an RS regulate mount if you have a side rail....

re: Need/want a red dot for my AK - 03GeeTee
The holosun and primary arms advanced are very similar. In fact, holosun has a new model out that uses the Primary Arms ACSS reticle. I have the Primary Arms advanced on my AK sbr and it is excellent. It has held up great and I have left it turned on constantly for the past year and a half and the b...

re: Just got my Sparrow 22 silencer - 03GeeTee
I'm not saying it makes no difference at all. In my opinion it just seems pointless to shoot supers through a suppressed .22 rifle because it is still loud. ...

re: Just got my Sparrow 22 silencer - 03GeeTee
I find that the Gemtech .22 subs are the best, the CCI subs are good as well. Assuming there is normal .22 ammo availability, there should be some form of subsonic ammo available at Academy. You may have to go to a gun store to find the Gemtech ammo though....

You can also run the suppressor "wet" to reduce first round pop....

re: Just got my Sparrow 22 silencer - 03GeeTee
Yea, with supersonic ammo the suppressor is still doing its job of reducing the blast sound from the round going off. But the suppressor can't do anything about the loud cracking sound that's produced when the bullet breaks the sound barrier....

re: Just got my Sparrow 22 silencer - 03GeeTee
With a bolt action it will be really nice with subs. If you want even less noise than that, the CCI "Quiet" ammo sounds quieter than a Red Ryder BB gun when used on a bolt action rifle with Sparrow suppressor....

You need subsonic ammo if using on a rifle. Shooting supersonic ammo in a suppressed .22 rifle is pointless....

re: AK47 Recommendations? - 03GeeTee
Yea it's still a nice feature. You can also tell that you're empty just from the different recoil impulse when the bolt stays open on the last shot....

re: AK47 Recommendations? - 03GeeTee
That's probably a bit high, but I haven't priced Yugo mags for quite a while. Think I bought some for under $15 but that was probably 3 or 4 years ago. They will hold the bolt open when the mag is empty but the bolt will close whenever you remove the mag. ...

re: Is it too late to get a trust and a suppressor - 03GeeTee
Not as long as your local NFA dealer has the suppressors you want IN STOCK right now. You won't have time to order a suppressor and have it form 3'd to your dealer before 41F goes into effect....

re: AK47 Recommendations? - 03GeeTee
It's a bit loud, haha. I'll probably switch the manticore brake out for a Bulgarian 4 piece at some point so my friends will stop calling me an a-hole every time I shoot next to them at the range....

re: "The inventor of the assault weapon never intended it to be used on the streets" - 03GeeTee
That ls funny because Colt was selling the AR-15 to civilians before the military ever adopted the M-16....
