I'm going to be down this weekend for a wedding and haven't been in around 10 years.

What's the best place for oysters in this area? I'm leaning towards ACME...

I'd skip Acme and head to either the Desire Oyster Bar in the Royal Sonesta or the oyster bar at the Bourbon House.

I'd go to Felix's (only if JUST getting oysters) or Remoulade.

Felix's gets my vote. Not the cheapest oysters for locals, but always high quality, plus you won't be standing in line for an hour with the tourists at ACME. I've tried ACME, and I'm not sure what the allure is.

Felix's was closed for a time after the Hurricane, but is back in action.

Felixs is terrible!! My wife did not want to wait in line at Acme so we decided to try Felixs. Big Mistake!!! The Oyster Bienville were terrible. The 1/2 Oyster poboy had 3 oysters on it. As bad as the food was the Service was worse. How this place stays in business puzzles me?

I second the Bourbon House for oysters. Don't think highly of the restaurant (general menu) but their oyster bar is great. Their baked oysters are pretty solid as well.

I stand or sit at the oyster bar at Felix's every time i hit the quarter. I have tried other things that were pretty bad but i always go there for raw oysters and nothing else. I was happy to find this place when Acmes line started at bourbon st.

only go to drago's if everyone in your party will get oysters. i find that other things on their menu are lacking.
