re: Forecast when the Fed Reserve will increase interest rates again & how often? - LSU0358
Even with the O&G plunge and Asia market volatility, FED needs to raise the rates. Otherwise they will have zero mechanism to adjust rates to spur activity in the next big downturn
What if the next big downturn has already started?...

re: Forecast when the Fed Reserve will increase interest rates again & how often? - LSU0358
I'll go with 0. I think Feb to March are going to be pretty ugly in the equity market. A few months for a dead cat bounce and then ugly into 2017. ...

My worst year in the four was 15%...best was over 100. I trade futures so the returns can be very nice. Or it can be like last year and be very very bad with down ~50%. I in no way am hinting 100% is normal...I can't deny I felt lucky hitting two very nice runners long SPX and short the aussie ...

re: Rumor Shell is closing down its New Orleans operations - LSU0358
This is one depressing thread. Geez.
Agreed. In addition to the lay offs you get a good snap shot on human nature. Deep down, most people feel envy and resentment at those that are successful. They love to see those that have been successful pulled back into the misery of life....
