Here's my latest version

I ended up grilling them and serving with chimichurri sauce and the people I prepared it for loved it.

I've never cooked it stove top like yours, but I do hear that tradition calls for a wine cork to be placed in the liquid while the octopus cooks. I've also heard that tenderizing helps, with stories of them being beaten against the rocks after they were caught. Can't vouch for either tip though.

No offense because I'm sure you have mad cooking skills but that looks horrid.

Your comment is offensive & horrid

Actually BigPerm30, that dish looks incredibly delicious & as good as any octopus dish I've ever eaten. How many times have you had octopus. Have a few hundred down votes sir

Great job Jones

If you are lucky enough to have an Asian grocery store by you, they have a much better selection and about 1/3 of the price

They have marinated squid, squid salad or raw squid.

Very good

I just noticed the handle cover. I think I need one of those! Do you like it?

Downvotes are stupid for this...on a food board.

Is it really that damn big of a deal if someone downvotes your food choices?

Upvote if you agree!

ain't never had Waffles, pancakes or a corndog, but cooks a mean looking octopus. Looks good, I would eat it.

Low and slow and braised at the end.

This kind of mother-in-law bullshite cooking deserves a downvote.

But someone actually preparing a unique dish with a decent amount of forethought doesn't IMO.

I'm craving those dang tentacles baw.

I'm gonna grab a couple this afternoon and get'em going Sunday. This is one time I wish I had an immersion circulator. But if Captain Jones didn't need one, neither do I. I'll bump this thread with pics.

I ordered it from Amazon for like $6 or $8. I was buying something else Lodge related, and they recommended a bunch of accessories, and I fell into the trap

I love it because I have a habit of grabbing the handle to stir, especially with a flat cooktop where the pan can move.

Can confirm. I am the reigning downvote queen solely due to someone's past hatred for what I said on the internet that hurt their feelings.

I'm proud :)
