Been to most of the signature places and looking for some new, casual and go to places to dine with the wife? Also, some of the better off the beaten path drinking holes? What say the FDB?

After the recommendations from this board, decided to go to the following places:
Bacchanal on Friday evening: cool, place, good beer selection, nice drink selection, tasted the pork rillettes, ceviche and fingerling salad. Pork rillettes with the fig preserve on top was very, very nice.
Saturday morning- Camellia Grill- it is Camellia Grill and is exactly as I remembered the last number of times I've been here.
Saturday afternoon-2PM rum tour at NOLA Rum distillery. The tour was a bit quick and not polished, but love the feel and love for the place the tour guide Jeff has. Typical New Orleans guy and enjoyed the rum samples, spiced rum and iced tea drink!
Continuing Saturday evening Happy Hour-went to Borgne- great service at the bar, enjoyed the Tapas of fried oyster mushrooms-delicious and cooked perfectly, and tasty duck poppers. Nice beer selection and very cold AndyGator on tap.
Saturday night-took to walking the Frenchmen Street corridor and drinking beer and more beer. Lots of music everywhere and interesting characters and street performers.
Saturday at 10PM- Lucky Rooster. Having a bit of memory loss, but here's what I remember. Dumplings and Roast Beef Bhan Mi PO Boy- both superb and tasty. Cold curry noodle salad was very tasty, and my wife who normally does not like curry dishes thought it was the best "curry dish" she'd eaten. Good beer selection and I had a bourbon something or other drink due to the fact I didn't like the choice of alcohol in the drink and the bartender came to the table to ask and auggest how he'd make it with bourbon. It was delicious, whatever it was!
Sunday-Mr B's brunch. Good fried oyster app, Bloody Mary, BBQ Shrimp and Chicken in Hollandaise. Very nice, great service and more subdued atmosphere than our precious day.
Sunday afternoon-Salu-good flatbread Italian Pizza and Chorizo Slider. Slider ok, and pizza very tasty. Hit the Bulldog after for simply cold Brooklyn Lager on tap.
Monday Morning-Elizabeth's for brunch. Nice little find off the radar place. Had the BLT. A bit heavy on the vinegarette, but would eat again. Wife had eggs and bacon and they we're cooked just right. Fried grits were interesting and biscuit in gravy was good.
Sorry so long, just thought I'd contribute as many offered suggestions on where to eat.

There's so many though. That's the first one to pop into my mind.

I haven't been to Peche yet, but my parents went last week and loved it. It's gotten some great reviews here.
Domenica is another that comes to mind.

Get a sammich at Maspero's if it's walking around French Quarter sweaty as all get out type of casual dining.

Apolline has a small review a few threads down. It's a nice casual spot.
A Mano, in the Warehouse Dist. is another that is a solid place that flies under the radar.

dear god no, Maspero's is awful. not even worth a 2 minute wait, let alone waiting in line for 45 minutes. Vieux Carre Pizza, Johnny's Poboys, or Killer Poboy @ Erin Rouse are all much better options if they're

that ain't casual. and it's too inconsistent. I'd steer a tourist away from there.

I'll also throw Toups Meatery out there if you want to head to Mid City.

It's not that bad.

Ok
It does get you to a fun part of town without going to the obvious choices.
Herb, Cochon. etc.
I did mention Peche earlier.
