I had a crawfish pie once with rice mixed in. I didn't care for that. Not sure I'd like boudin stuffed in bread unless it was very heavy on the meat rather than rice. Rice in bread doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather have some spicy sausage mixture, sans the rice, stuffed in a good bread. Sausage bread. Next, we will see "boudin bread" served like crawfish bread.

You could make your own sort of boudin king cake with the dough in the freezer section. Just defrost and load it with the boudin, bake, top it with the bacon or cracklins and pour Steen's on top.

Talk about good, tee. But could've been so much better had they used Billy's or nunus boudin.

Having been in the news recently, this boudin king cake is all the talk among the girls in the office this morning.

Half of them are dying to try it, the other half are like "meh...."

Kind of like my sex appeal, but that's for another thread.

They don't need the extra calories, that's for sure, but we might splurge on one next week.

I would imagine it's better when warmed up. Warm Steen's syrup is quite good, as well. I would serve it all warm.

I'll probably chunk it in the oven for a litte while before bringing it over.

I saw another place making them on Facebook. Can't recall what it was, though.

I'd definitely warm it and I'd probably warm the syrup as well.
