I have only been to La Boca out of that group but it was phenomenal so I wouldn't feel bad about going again.

But usually when me and my wife go down to the city we try a new restaurant each time. So maybe one of those for lunch and another one for dinner. Any other suggestions are welcome and thanks for any help.

I've never been to Cavan or Kentons, but La Boca has never let me down. Went there last month on my birthday.

La Boca for the birthday dinner. Try the other two places on another day.

La Boca is a nice, but Kenton's is a much more interesting place.

I had a rough dinner at Boca a month ago. Table of 7 and everyone was feeling bad shortly after dinner. My other experiences were better, but never amazing.

Kenton's menu has more flexibility and you can get an excellent cocktail.

ps. I'm not sure if anyone orders drinks at la Boca, but their bartenders should be fired. I had the single worst old fashioned I've ever had and S/o had an equally bad gin cocktail. Just an FYI...

I like Kenton's although I do consider it a little overpriced. I would probably do that.

I need to get to Cavan, haven't had the chance yet.

Yep. I want to love La Boca, but both trips there just didn't really wow me. Doris blew me away; La Boca did not. I think some items probably would, but nothing I've ordered so far has.

Cavan looks really interesting but may be too new (does that sound to Fitzmorris like?), so I might give it a couple months. They apparently have a really good happy hour according to Eater but I can not find details on what makes it "killer".

I think i am going to give Kenton's a shot, La Boca is quite possibly my favorite dinner I have had in New Orleans but I like to try new places.

I just need to find somewhere to eat lunch, then to Bakery Bar and Nola Brewery after that.

Or primitivo for dinner. I'd go there or boca. I liked the drinks and atmosphere at kentons. Food doesn't live up though

I wouldn't go to Kenton's due to it's somewhat remote yet up-and-coming neighborhood west of the Garden District.

Made the reservation for kenton's already. Primitivo does look interesting for lunch tho. Do they just cook whatever on an open flame? What's something good to eat there?

No real particular style, just whatever they can cook on the hearth style pit/smoker.

Charcuterie plate is one of the best in the city. Look for most meats to be slow smoked or roasted.
