Hendricks fan here.

So much of a fan I brought back 6 bottles from St Thomas. Couldn't pass it up for $20 a bottle.

I tried gin and tonics over the years but never liked it until using Tanqueray Ten. Now it's one of my go to drinks.

Jack Rudy's or one if the other tonic syrups+club soda is as important as the gin in a G&T

First, with tonic it's not as important as on the rocks or a dry martini. To state the obvious.

Second, Hendricks is a great gin, but not worth the money if mixing.

Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire . . . all that shite? Too "perfumey" all the way around, imo.

Beefeater's is absolutely the best buy on the market and certainly mixes well with tonic . . . and frick any so called "connoisseur" who claims otherwise.

By the way, do yourselves a favor and try Hayman's Old Tom.

I've grown to like Beefeater's more than Bombay sometimes. Hendrick's is lively with the diet tonic. Smooth and delicious.

citadelle all the way

Not bad.

When it first hit the U.S. with more widespread distribution I went to a bar after work that happened to be having a promotion. Giant 2 for 1 martinis with Citadelle. Oooops. I was home by 7:00 pm but it wasn't pretty.

Thank God my wife had a sense of humor (my current wife, not that other one . . . cough, cough . . . ahem).
