I have some family coming into town today. We're going out tonight. Where in BR has the best chargrilled oysters?
dons?
Jones creek cafe?
Parrians (sp) if they sell them
Acme?
Any other place that I can't remember

Same as Nola...Acme.
It's a matter of preference, but Acme is my favorite. Parrains is good and has a much better menu.
Jolie Pearl downtown also does a good job.

Anyone have them at Chimes East? I saw recently that they are serving them that way now.

I've had them. Better than Parrains but not as good as Acme. They also have some with pepperjack cheese and jalapenos that are pretty good.

I haven't eaten the chargrilled oysters at enough of these places and others to tell you who has the best, but the ones at Jones Creek Cafe are horrible. City Cafe has some tasty ones but they sometimes overcook them.

Mansur's and it's not close. Those who are not voting for Mansur's....have never had Mansur's.
They're perfect.

they are delicious as well but they don't fit the brunch schedule for me

I've had Acme and Mansur's. Mansur's are addictive. Sit in the bar and eat them until you can eat no more. They're great. I have no desire to have those at Acme again.

This is exactly what a buddy of mine told me when he went for restaurant week recently. Plan on trying it out next week myself.

Acme's are my favorite, but Parrain's are very very good. I like the other food on Parrain's menu much better. If all you want is oysters, though, Acme is the place to go.
