The wife is taking the kids to visit her grandmother for a couple of nights. What are your go to meals when it is just you or just guys around? A couple of friends are probably coming over tomorrow evening and I want to cook dinner for everyone.

Alcohol.

And no one will know if you crank up Madona after they all leave and sing at the top of your lungs till you pass out.

Probably not the best meal for a group, but my go to is a Scotch egg. Either that, or doing up some wings in a made up sauce that usually wrecks my stomach for a day or two.

ETA: The Scotch egg got me thinking, you could do a bunch of armadillo eggs for a group.

Jambalaya
Chili
Grill a bunch of stuff

To be honest, my go-to bachelor meal is a Red Baron Mexican pizza and alcohol. (I like to cook, but I'm not going to put much effort if it's just me.)

When my wife travels for work I tend to cook things I love but that she hates.
Salmon, cow tongue, dirty rice

Well I already know I'm going to fry up a ton of bacon, have a sackful of Krystal's, hit the liquor store to stock up, grab some beer too, and cook a cheap frozen pizza. Was thinking more of an actual meal for the guys. Probably from the grill. I eat everything and there's only a few things my wife doesn't eat.

Martinis

Doesn't have to be in that order.

Can I sub bourbon for the martinis? And Ice Cream? This calls for something like King Cake or Cheesecake.

Probably right. I was thinking about just me when I responded. Eating it right out of the container.

I prefer one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer. There ain't no women, so no wine.
