I have seen some dumb asses around here but you are among the elite

Jordan had to beat real teams to make it to the finals. James has had the luxury of playing in the east conference which is complete garbage. The fact that James makes it to the finals is not much of an accomplishment when you look at the weak conference competition. Two years ago when James won the championship his team was at best the fourth best team in the league that year and they would have lost early in the western conference playoffs if they were in the west.
Yawn. 2015-2017 Golden State was better than any team Jordan ever played. 2014 San Antonio probably was too.
People in this thread saying "Hurr durr Jordan was more competitive hurr durr" act like winning isn't important to LeBron. It's the goddamn dumbest argument out there. If you think Jordan is better, give a real reason other than some regurgitated bullshite.

1-7 if Draymond doesnt get suspended
Posted on 7/28/17 at 7:43 pm to LilWezyAna
Draymond is so good that his suspension affected a series played years earlier.
Posted on 7/28/17 at 8:11 pm to LilWezyAna
But he did and the Warriors still had game 6 and 7(AT HOME) with Dray to clinch but LeGOAT imposed his will on the greatest regular season team of all-time to achieve the unprecedented 3-1 comeback and validate his legend.

Yeah, I mean, I'm a Pistons fan and shouldn't love MJ. I usually find myself in the Jordan camp and laughing at the Bron fanboys. That said, was Jordan's competition in the east much once the Bad Boys died? I can respect the sweep of Orlando in the spring of 1996, but the rest of it looks like garbage.

Those Knicks teams were garbage? Come on now.

Also, Jordan wasn't facing a superior team in the Finals almost every year.
This argument is as ridiculous now as it was the first million times to was made.
He wasn't facing superior teams in the Finals because the other teams didn't have Michael fricking Jordan. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT. Jordan is what made the Bulls the best team every year they were in the Finals. Once Jordan beefed up and learned how to handle a beating, he spent ten years as the most unstoppable playoff force in American sports history.
Those Sonics and Jazz teams they beat were STACKED. The Bulls were better because they had MJ.

I just find it funny that people can't admit LeBron is closer than they'd like to admit.
Lebron is probably the second best player ever but switch him out for Jordan on every Finals team he has been on and Jordan is, at worst, 5-3.
My lasting image of Lebron will be him cowering in the corner in 2011 as Dwayne Wade tried to save him from getting punked by 33 year old Dirk Nowitzki.

Jordan would not have taken the 2007 Cavs to the Finals. That team was so overmatched and needed everything LeBron had to give them to get to the Finals.

MJ is not beating the 2007 Spurs with that CLE squad, or the Spurs team or 2015 GS with Kyrie/Love hurt.
There is zero shot of 5-3.

When does this argument change from LeBron to San Diego Rockets own James v Jordan?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 10:15 pm to Roger Klarvin
Meh, the only two times where he was probably the favorite and lost was 2011 and 2014. And he was a monumental underdog in 2016. His finals record is fine

The East was terrible in 2007. The Pistons were the #1 seed with 52 wins and only two teams finished with 50 or more wins. The Magic made the playoffs with like 38 wins that year. In the Conference Finals, Lebron only averaged 22 PPG.
In short, you're a moron.

Jordan doesn't lose to the last ride Spurs in 2014, certainly doesn't lose to the Mavericks in 2011 and doesn't get swept in 2007.
And let's not forget, if not for Ray Allen and Steph Curry's ankle Lebron is undeniably 1-7 in the Finals. Jordan never came close to losing any of his six appearences.

Lebron has won one of his 8 Finals appearences in what anyone could reasonably define as convincing. The other 7 are comprised of convincing defeats and furtunate breaks he had nothing to do with.

The discussion here is about championships and Finals appearences. And the fact is Jordan beat at least four stacked teams in the Finals.
People forget how good those Sonics and Jazz teams were. They all won around 65 games and had multiple HOFers. You could argue the 1996 Sonics were one of the best teams ever to not win a title. And the Bulls were actually Vegas underdogs to Utah in 1998.
