They aren't greater than MJ but in terms of skill they're better. All these players were beneficiaries of the mass advancements in strength and conditioning, mainstream basketball camps, complex game strategy and access to advanced medical science therefore enabling them to develop their bodies and skillsets so they can perform multiple functions on the court at an elite level, which many players in the 1980s could not do due to such circumstances.

Better to lose in the Finals than to lose in the East playoffs, which Michael did hella more of than LeBron and sometimes didn't even qualify for the East playoffs

Better to have six titles than three.

Did I mention that LeBron is the all-time leading scorer in playoff history, surpassing MJ with less shots on higher FG and 3 PT pct? Let's hear the inevitable MJ lover "accomplished it in more games" argument.

Did I hear MJ has twice as many titles as LeBronze will ever earn? So, what's the debate?

In my opinion it is Jordan, and it isn't close.

I'm going on a dozen years on this board, & honestly I'm not sure why its a debate, I honestly think Magic has a better case as the runner-up.

That, and the fact that Jordan's best was better than anything else we've ever seen from anyone else in basketball at any level.

LeBron has 3 rings and he exceeds MJ in rebounds, assists, VORP, and box plus/minus along with the 60+ NBA records he currently possesses so MJ having 6 rings vs LeBron's 3, multiple NBA records and numerous stat categories LeBron's also surpassed MJ in? LeBron James is the greatest player, next to Wilt Chamberlain, in the 71 year history of the NBA. Raising MJ 6 rings vs LBJ's 3 and accomplishments he surpasses MJ in is the equivalent of arguing Robert Horry is a better player than Shaq bc Horry has 7 rings and Shaq only 4. That logic has tons of holes and weaknesses. Also, LeBron has tons of basketball left to break even more NBA records and possible topple Kareem for the NBA all-time scoring title so GET YO POPCORN READY.

Except for the fact that Robert Horry was at no point in time a better basketball player than Shaquille O'Neal.

Other than that though, great analogy

What exactly did this "best" entail? LeBron averaged a triple-double in a Finals series, he averages 27-7-7 for his career and is the only player in the 71 year history of the NBA to record 2,000 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists and 100 steals in a single season for at least 7 seasons. Michael can't claim that amongst other things. At age 32, LeGOAT averaged 33-9-8 in the NBA playoffs on 57% FG and 41% 3 PT. That's insane considering he's playing players he's 10 years older than.

Well if not Robert Horry, how about Sam Jones or John Havlicek? They won more than 4 rings, y'all are basing yalls entire argument over who won more rings which, as Robert Horry's career proves, isn't the only determinant about who's the greater player. Just give up LeBron has everything else on MJ and he's won championships too with 2 SEPARATE FRANCHISES which MJ never did. MJ never defeated the greatest regular season team of all-time in the Finals, LeBron DID.

So Scottie Pippen's greater than LeBron because he has 6 rings too? Scottie's a hall of famer and Dream Teamer yet is exceeded by LeBron in every stat category your logic doesn't hold up.

According to Roger Klarvin's logic, Trent Dilfer's a better QB than Dan Marino bc Trent has a ring and Dan doesn't despite the gaudy stats Marino amassed. Great logical application bud, good job.

Sniffing glue there bud? How about Wilt Chamberlain's first 10 seasons in the Association or simply his 1962 season when he AVERAGED 50-25 or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's first 11 professional seasons where he won 6 MVPs? But you Skip Bayless-sucking, Jordan lovers like to ignore that shitt.

Before Scottie and Horace Grant were drafted, did MJ ever lead the Bulls past the first round? When MJ was performing front office duties and responsible for the Wizards' team composition when he returned the 2nd time, did he lead the Wizards to the playoffs despite his sweeping authority over personnel decisions? Without the support of Scottie Pippen, did Jordan ever win anything? #ThankYouComeAgain

Averaging 42/9/8 in a six game Finals series where he scored 42+ in 4 straight games and had the highest defensive efficiency rating any perimeter defender has ever had in a single playoff series.

When there were only 8 teams and all but two players in the league were 6'8" or smaller?

Wilt did what he did when the average center was a 6'7" 200 pound white guy from rural Kansas.

You and James Belushi were Oscar worthy in Gang Related.

And by Oscar worthy, I mean very bad.

Gang related sucked, but the soundtrack was awesome.

Gridlock'd with Tim Roth was a legitimately great movie, with much better performances.

I just find it funny that people can't admit LeBron is closer than they'd like to admit.

They are one- two but it's still not even close. One can't admit anything if there is nothing to admit.
Lebron is a talented drama queen that once called upon his fellow eastern conference allstars to create a super team.
