Tropical Storm Cindy tracking w/flights: WN/UAL/AA/Jblue/Dl waiver

I know there's the thread on the OT discussing the weather here, however this thread is to discuss any travel or airline waivers that may appear. Considering all the airlines posted a waiver today for "thunderstorms" in NYC with the weather not being all that bad, I think they'll post something for Wednesday/Thursday/Friday soon based off projected paths from Houston-Nola area. If anyone sees a waiver please bump the thread and we'll help people get rebooked.
I'll keep this thread updated as I'm flying out on Friday morning out of BTR to head to Sweden. I have a vested interest in this system

I'm guessing a drive up to the Western Carolinas on Saturday is looking pretty shitty right now, huh?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 1:23 pm to Y.A. Tittle
i'm flying to Norfolk at 6am Thursday. I feel like that's not going to happen.

Man I'm scheduled to fly back to New Orleans next week... This thing needs to leave

At the 120 hr it looks like it's over the carolinas, may be a wet weekend up there.

You need your flight to make it here on wednesday night. If this is just a tropical storm it's entirely possible. I actually may try and change my ticket to leave on thursday morning instead of friday morning because I know the system will be moving north east towards atlanta making friday a bitch to fly

Next week should be much better than this so thats a positive at least

Scheduled to fly out Wednesday morning at 11:45 to Boston. Not too confident that's going to happen.

I fly out of MSY Tuesday 20th at 6:45 pm. Is that going to be a problem?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 3:05 pm to NardDog
You should beat out the storm, may have a band or two but should be much better than wednesday. Also leaving that late is probably a good thing since your aircraft will come in around 6pm then leave at 6:45pm, unlike the 6am departures where the aircraft must arrive the night before and wait

Chances a Wednesday flight at 10:45 AM from MSY-MCO leaves on time?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 3:25 pm to lionward2014
You sure it's at 10:45am? I see one at 9:45am on southwest. In any case, wednesday is supposed to be the worse of the two days I think since it will be in the northeast quadrant of the storm. On thursday, the storm will be over LA meaning the worst part of it will be further north and east. Just keep an eye out and if there's a waiver posted on southwest I'll let you know.
Posted on 6/19/17 at 3:29 pm to CuseTiger
You right, it is 9:45. I knew it was around 10.

Vested interest in this thread as well. Wife and I have a morning flight out of MSY Thursday to San Fran. I'm going to be fuming if we can't go. The house we booked in Napa is nonrefundable now.

Please keep this thread updated. Flying Southwest from SAN on Wednesday landing at MSY at 7:05pm. If a waiver is issued, should we plan to fly back Friday or Saturday?

That is a much safer option than coming in on Wednesday night based on the maps in the original post above. Will keep update on any waivers, as of yet none. I did notice the flash flood watch now posted for BR at least

I guess I'll get to laugh maniacally at the entertainment.

Cuse, what are my chances of flying out of Lafayette Wednesday evening?
Posted on 6/19/17 at 6:32 pm to UpToPar
That's when the storm is supposed to make landfall around lafayette... what airline? American tends to cancel everything, united is a bit better, delta usually the best (will just delay your flight until it can go)
Posted on 6/19/17 at 6:43 pm to CuseTiger
I fly into Hattiesburg, MS on Wednesday afternoon around 1400. Doesn't look too good for me I think. Will be on an American jet. How far in advance should I know if the flight is cancelled or rerouted? TIA
