re: can we discuss dos/don'ts for tax filings for flood victims? - Taxing Tiger
Possibly, but you could be selling yourself short. Not to mention that the assessor is only concerned with your real estate. If you flooded, you likely lost some contents as well....

re: Tax write offs for people who flooded? - Taxing Tiger
This is terrible advice. Hopefully you misheard him. Home, contents, landscaping, etc. All would be eligible. Regarding the 10% of AGI, we (our firm) contacted Bill Cassidy multiple times trying to get that waived, but they avoided the question. That threshold was waived for Katrina. It's chicke...

re: Tax write offs for people who flooded? - Taxing Tiger

re: can we discuss dos/don'ts for tax filings for flood victims? - Taxing Tiger

When's the last time you saw someone in the press corps raise their voice and be that aggressive with the president (or elect)? He got what he deserved. Don't poke the bear!...

re: People against the legalization of Marijuana, a query. - Taxing Tiger
Don't smoke. Did in college 15 years ago. Have absolutely no issue with it being legalized. Matter a fact, I'd probably partake in a smoke on the weekends if it was legal. Beats having a hangover. The war on drugs is the biggest waste of tax dollars......
