re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
I've tried a good bit over the last 18 months but that's not one. Excluding PVW, OFBB is one of my favorites. Everyday pours are ER10 and OSSA 9/10yr....

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
How is that? I've never had it. Seen some complaints about the older ECs being too oaky. Never had the opportunity to buy but will at some point down the line. Next purchase is a coupe bottles of Willet 8yr Rye (thanks for the heads up JCANS)....

FPD ER10 Is it bad that the first thing I want when I get home during tax season is a pour of brown juice? Seems like every night now. Keeps the nerves calm and helps me sleep! Also, nice addition to the BX page for whomever donated the pic. On to the 2nd pour... ...

Still kicking myself for burning through two bottles of Willet 8yr Rye when I first got in to bourbon a little over a year ago. Didn't know what I had... FPD SAOS 10yr...

Just went by there today looking for SAOS Rye and they didn't have any. They still have some of their SAOS bourbon pick. Grabbed a few EC12s while I was there....

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
This may be old news, but just saw a post on another forum about SAOS Rye being temporarily discontinued. Something about limited supply. Snatch up what's on the shelf while you can (if you are a fan)....

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
All I have is open bottles at the moment (excluding one BMH and a Blanton's). I drink everything that I buy. Haven't learned to sit on stuff for possible future trades. However, I'll keep that in mind as I make future purchases. I ventured into BX so maybe I'll pickup some trade worthy stuff there....

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
Exactly. Just retarded. Had some OFBB at Lock & Key a few months ago. Think it was $20 a glass. Went to Vegas for work in December and was having Dinner at Cut when I noticed they had OFBB. They wanted $90 a shot! Madness....

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
That's the frustrating part. Hate the high markups from people just trying to make a buck. I want to drink it. That's my hobby. If I need money, I'll work more. Sure and the hell won't make enough money to satisfy my appetite by flipping bottles of bourbon. PVW23 retails at what 500? Flip it for 1,5...

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - Taxing Tiger
Yep. No bourbon connections here. Get my allocated stuff from a mutual friend who owns a liquor store in Memphis. Even that is hard. In the last year I got two bottles of Willet 8yr and three BMH (one eye). Developing my relationship with the guy in Memphis. Hoping 2016 brings about more. He's promi...

Oregon. It's good. But not as good as the Kentuky. Still one of my favorites. Buddy in Kentucky gets me one or two bottles a year (of each kind)....

3PD BMH. One of my personal favorites. Sad. I'm now down to my last bottle. ...
