Why Does Black Lives Matter Use People Like Michael Brown and Alton Sterling?

Why do they keep using these people who are proven to have acted criminally (Michael Brown), or a known criminal (Alton Sterling)?
Is it because they don't have enough others to support their narrative? You'd think that if cops were really just going open season on black people as they say, they would have many better examples of racial injustice by the police.
It still baffles me that Michael Brown of all people was the start of the larger BLM movement.

Thugs representing thugs?

my previous statement was wrong.
because BLM thinks (the majority of African Americans do not believe this) it is ok to rape, rob and break the law or at least that is what BLM is pushing along with the leftest media.
They are trying to romanticize people like Michael Brown so that they can be used as a rallying tool to incite more violence and protest

Because of limited resources...they don't have better material to work with.

It's an undisputed fact that Michael Brown was executed while on his knees. Also, new video surveillance shows he supplied drugs to that corner store regularly, so technically he didn't commit armed robbery. Just a smear campaign by the press.
As for Alton, it's NOT illegal to carry a gun! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO MURDER HIM WHEN HE WAS ALREADY ON THE GROUND?!

Can't speak for BLM but I can say that committing a crime doesn't give police free reign to kill you on the spot.

There are plenty of others.
But large in part, blacks support him because there is a shared struggle in blackness, endowed upon through generations of persecution (solely for having jsut a drop of African blood).
Blacks tend to try to usher home the point that Liberty and justice are for all, even poor people.
The very notion of your post suggests that you think some people aren't worth of the same liberties and rights bestowed upon us by our creator and by our framers.
I would contend that you don't TRULY believe in the tenants and penants of this country. It's pretty unamerican and unpatriotic of you. Those beliefs are supposed to be left in Great Britain in 1770.

Can't tell if serious...

How can you say that when American black culture is a partial result of white terrorism, sexual assault on black bodies, endless persecution, slavery and the denial of rights?
I must then continue that white culture too is okay with that, as long as the ends justify the means

So is the police officer just supposed to let Brown grab his gun and blow his head off?
Michael Brown was not a good guy and he put himself in a position that ended up costing him his life.
That's what I am saying. Why make him a martyr when I'm sure there are better examples to choose from?

Well I think it's because they are hasty and hitch their wagons on for the ride then in their haste they don't realize the horse the wagon is hitched to has a broken leg so it goes nowhere and they look foolish.

Plus all Alton sterling was doing was selling CDs. His series 6 may not have been up to date and interest rates may be worse than they used to be, but it is not a crime to sell CDs!

What about when you reach for an officers gun?
Posted on 3/13/17 at 2:19 pm to idlewatcher
If you in fact reach for an officers gun he has the right to subdue you with the minimum force necessary which in some cases means killing you. However, the relationship between that police department and the community was very bad long before this incident. When there is a history it is unlikely either side is going to take the other at face value.

Absolutely not.
He was carrying a concealed weapon, which is illegal, number one. Number two: it is illegal for a convicted felon (Sterling) to even posses a firearm. Three: He had been threatening people with a gun (committed a violent crime) and they called the cops on him .
