Wow, the struggle IS real.
And, according to most DNA research, most people have a drop (or more) of negroid blood.

But large in part, blacks support him because there is a shared struggle in blackness, endowed upon through generations of persecution (solely for having jsut a drop of African blood).
Shared struggle of trying to get a cop's gun to possibly kill him with it after assaulting a store owner to try and prevent him from stealing something?

As for Alton, it's NOT illegal to carry a gun! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO MURDER HIM WHEN HE WAS ALREADY ON THE GROUND?!
When he was on the ground, they told him to quit reaching for it many times. He had many chances to stop moving. It is illegal to carry a gun without a concealed carry permit (he did not have one) and if you are a convicted felon (which he was).

the relationship between that police department and the community was very bad long before this incident. When there is a history it is unlikely either side is going to take the other at face value.
True. The black community in Shreveport sees crime as a career choice. The police see it as illegal. This creates a lot of friction.

I am not defending these individuals but is that justification for them to be shot in the street for selling cds?

This was a narrative played up in the media that was blown way out of proportion. Ferguson isn't even a bad area, the police were not militarized like they are in some parts of North St. Louis (the warzone).

What an intellectually lazy and dishonest statement. At least you're consistent, though.

He was carrying a concealed weapon, which is illegal, number one. Number two: it is illegal for a convicted felon (Sterling) to even posses a firearm. Three: He had been threatening people with a gun (committed a violent crime) and they called the cops on him .
I love how the leftest media leaves this out. Their narrative is that Alton was a kind and good loving man etc

These aren't intelligent people we're dealing with here concerning BLM.
We're talking bottom of the barrel when it comes to intelligence. Basically the lowest of what the US has to offer.

Yes yes. We know you feel you have done your part since you were alive when slavery was abolished.

So is the police officer just supposed to let Brown grab his gun and blow his head off?
No, of course not but that's based off the premise that a factually and scientifically racist police department (and the DA would had a cop dad murdered by a black man) would handle this case unbiased. By in large, black folks historically have no reason to give law enforcement the same level of trust that white folks do. That's just facts and until the larger white majority acknowledges this, we can't move forward. They have not and speculatively still do not legislate and enforce laws equally. You can base your premise on equality and justice for all and not enforce it equally. That by no means does not absolve black peoples from getting their acts together, from respecting law enforcement, cleaning their community, taking ownership, etc. but the police serve them. They are their servants and should serve them with equality.
Blacks folks have lived and smelled that bullshite for years.
Not being a "good guy" doesn't exclude you from liberty, justice and fair and equal treatment under the law. "Exceptional" clauses for our unalienable rights puts a price on it and does not, in any way, ensure an equal rights society. We'd be lying to ourselves if we thought so.
We should be defending the criminals, because if we set the bar at with the exceptionals, then we can never truly uphold our ideals

It's an undisputed fact that Michael Brown was executed while on his knees. Also, new video surveillance shows he supplied drugs to that corner store regularly, so technically he didn't commit armed robbery. Just a smear campaign by the press.

^This may be the looniest pile of horse shite ever posted on a message board. I mean seriously.

Because law abiding black people don't get shot very often. Not a whole lot of them to make martyrs out of.

Maybe he doesn't like black people. Maybe he's just interested in the subject. What does it matter? Argue his points if they don't make sense.

How can you speak on something you know nothing of? Until you and others with your frame of mind humble themselves, take a sit, and realize that you don't know everything, progress will continue to more at a slower pace than it should
