I stop in this albertsons daily on way home from work mainly for 6pk of beer and what not.

My god, the lines to check out in the main part are ridiculous. I have been asking what the hell is going on and they can't hire anyone to work apparently.

Wonder why they can't hire anyone.

And my boy Walter is now managing dairy so that sucks.

I have the same hiring problem in my store as Albertsons. It's the rule that we have to send new hires for a Drug Test if we hire them.. 80% are flunking the drug test. Really, it's a problem. The last 16 stockboys I tried to hire, 11 flunked the test. 3 out of 5 cashiers flunked it too. I guess in modern times, corporate stores are going to have to accept pot smoking in off times. We can't hire anyone 75% of the time.

Honestly, I wouldn't care what they do on their off time off as long as the store was running efficiently. What's the worst that could happen? They might spend all of their paycheck on munchies when they get off of work?

That Albertsons is just awful. I'm done with Albertsons in general. They all suck. This probably deserves its own thread, but why do Albertsons butcher areas always smell disgusting?

I can't stand the smell of the one on Essen/Perkins. I either have to walk quickly while not breathing by it or avoid it all together. The smell really makes me not want to by meat from there.

Go early on a Sunday morn or late afternoon. A lot less people. Buy all your "what nots" and 2 cases of beer. Now you won't have to

It's unreal. A lot of them have this problem. The absolute worst is Government and Foster. It smells like a dead animal in there.

I havent smelled anything besides the one on college where the dumpsters are by the I10 side.

Man that rotten food in the dumpster will stink up the whole parking lot. I use to drive the back way to go to liquor store. However, when the tires run over the juices on the ground it would sling it up on the car. Your car would smell for days.

Same thing here at the Albertsons in Broussard. I talked to the manager who I have become friends with and he said corporate has tightened up on employee hours since they bought Randalls.

Yeah I just moved back to Baton Rouge after three years. Lines at the College Drive Albertsons like never before, and the bums are freely walking around the lot. Not good.

Last I heard, Whole Foods does not drug test. If they did, the store would be empty.
