There seems to be a misunderstanding here here of what custody and child support laws actually are. In Louisiana and most states they're pretty even-handed.

the default standard in LA is the woman gets domiciliary status (Which means she receives child support). in many areas the "standard visitation" for the non-domiciliary parent (again, typically the father) is every other weekend

If you take the risk of having sex with someone, you should be ready to deal with the possibility of a child being the end result.
That being said - custody laws in many places are insanely biased towards the mother. Same thing with divorce law. Both are very outdated and need to be updated. There was a time when it was understandable for the mother to receive primary custody and child support, or for a wife to receive alimony.
Now that the times have changed, the majority of women are no longer home-makers and actually have careers. They are capable of taking care of themselves and the laws need to be changed to keep up with this.

Is the idea of humans exercising self control or forethought humorous?

I must say I''m stunned you all want to reject this idea. To me it'a common sense, having equal protection for both men and women. It'a not taking any protections away from women, just adding them for men.

I want equal protection. Abstain if you don't want to have to deal with the natural result of sex. Or use a condom or the pill.

That solves all the problems.

Or you can man the frick up and be a father to your child.

Being a father is the greatest thing any of us will ever do. The rest of the crap we do really doesn't matter if we didn't properly provide for and raise our kids.

I think that men who do not want children, should put a condom on their dick. That's the right that they have.

This only sounds good in theory.

Make your idea law and guys will be knocking girls up left and right. Why pull out when you can just sign a piece of paper and have no responsibility?

You are extremely underestimating the shittiness of the millennial generation. " Zero fricks given" became popular for a reason.

IMO it should just be a lot easier to get split, even custody without having to pay 7K to a lawyer to get it for you.

If the custody is split there should be no child support. Each parent responsible while they have the child.

If and when I get split custody of my child my wife will be paying me because she makes so much more than me. We aren't allowed to negotiate on it and it's the only reason she's even fighting me over it, because we aren't allowed to "deny" our child support from either side.

The better question is why is it a right for the woman to have more time with the child than the guy?

From my personal views on seeing this throughout my life.... It does say more damage to the kid to exclude the father. Every other weekend? Come on.

Probably been said already but women would just wait to tell the man after the first trimester

The biggest 'F you' by the courts toward men regards DNA. Let's say a man and woman are married for 10 years. They have one child. The man catches the wife cheating and divorces her.

The wife gets custody of the child and the man pays child support. The man has reason to believe the child is not his since his wife is a proven slut. DNA tests show the child is not his. The courts rule he still must pay because he 'acted like a father' for several years and they can't find the real father. That's BS.

This topic of the legal relationship between men and women is much deeper and profound than most are thinking it is...it's actually at the root of the Muslim vs. the West conflict...Muslim men demand the upper hand in this matter;whereas in the West, the alpha manly males have been seriously culled from the population to a great extent through useless wars engineered by tptb just for this reason...metro-sexual snowflakes are much more manageable than robust alpha males and actually are more alike females in most ways...and this is why the West is in it's latter stages of ascendancy and the East is on the rise...if one studies for example the work of Margaret Meade and more broadly anthropology in general you'll see what happens when the social pecking order of cultures/tribes is broken down by similar interruptions as are being orchestrated by Soros/NWO/elites today in Europe and the USA>

Your logic is just as applicable to women as it is men, yet liberals don't bat an eye to chicks being able to "get off the hook" freely.

That's the discussion. Why is it OK for a woman to make a decision she feels if prudent, yet the man has no recourse other than to beg or bribe?

No, the child needs financial support. If you have a kid, the kid is your responsibility. Trying to weasel your way out of that is pathetic.
