re: U of Chicago to Class of 2020: "we do not support so-called trigger warnings" - GumpInLex
I'll be sad when he is forced to apologize and resign.
Unfortunately i see this happening too. Too many shotty SJWs are bound to kick up a fuss. And i'm sure that the NAACP, ACLU and the LGBT community will be issuing statements soon. I hope I'm wrong, but the PC bull shite cultur...

re: Why is Kentucky in the SEC? - GumpInLex
Spoken like someone who's never been to Kentucky. Please Stahp. Aside from Louisville and the couple of counties right next to Cincinnati, Kentucky is not midwestern. It's culturally much more southern than the state of Florida (aside from the panhandle) What was the point of trolling Kentucky in...

re: Impractical degrees/studies - GumpInLex
I got my degree in German. Wanted to continue and double major in business, but i ran out of loan money. I love languages and am quick to pick them up, but a big part of me regrets majoring in language. If i could do it all over again, i would have done something with more income potential. But oh...

re: How do you feel about modern roundabouts? - GumpInLex
Love em- we have a couple in lexington (a couple are even on Alumni drive right by Commonwealth), and they seem to be well received. I'm Australian, so ive been used to the concept, but it was so frustrating when they were first put in on campus to see people struggling with how to navigate throug...

re: Elon Musk outlines his master plan 2.0 - GumpInLex
Summarization: Tesla production facilities will be revamped to be way more efficient and produce a lot more vehicles. Eventually, full autopilot will replace drivers of vehicles for semi trucks and public transport. Cost of transporting goods will be reduced, and public transport will become ...

re: Gary Johnson vs Donald Trump - GumpInLex
I said it's the first time I've really seen it. And social media wasn't a thing when Perot was running, so among people my age group that i see posting things on social media, its mostly, "frick hillary and Trump, Johnson is the only candidate that wouldn't be a complete disaster for America moving f...

re: Gary Johnson vs Donald Trump - GumpInLex
Not true. There are plenty of bernie supporters who are 100% never hillary. I think there will be a surprising amount of people who vote for Johnson. This election is the 1st time ive really seen a 3rd party candidtate getting any real attention. Ideally will hurt both hillary and trump's campaigns....
ETA: But then again, I refuse to feel sorry for a people who attacked a pacifist nation that could kick its ass.
We've never been a pacifist nation. We were isolationist, for sure. But yeah, i read an account from a korean woman about what it was like to be forced into b...

re: How often do you talk to your father? - GumpInLex
Once or twice a week. Always in person. We never communicate via text or phone unless it's for a purpose. I love my dad, but we have a strange relationship. He's an Aussie, and one of those guys that sure as shite isn't gonna talk about feelings. He's a computer genius (and works for a data securi...

re: How would Hillary and Trump respond? - GumpInLex
We are no longer capable of carrying out a multi-front global scale war. Our best military leaders have been purged in the last 8 years because their views didnt align witht the POTUS. The way wars are fought might have changed, but we are nowhere near prepared should we need to take on Russia/C...
Our own leadership won't even denounce it.
He was raised in a muslim country and taught islam from a young age, and is at the very least a sympathizer. So no, he wont be denouncing it or calling on all muslims to denounce it....

re: At this point, which liberty is more important? - GumpInLex
Thank you, you've articulated it better than I could. I agree. The real challenge is going to be in 30 years' time when countries like England/France/Germany end up with a muslim poulation that is no longer just a minority and will have the numbers to fundamentally change the culture through leg...
PS: Before people respond "it's just Islam" then you must have forgotten the past....ever heard of the Crusades? Religion is the problem, not Islam.
Yeah... well considering the crusades happened nearly a thousand years ago, i'd say we've past the statute of limitations on that one...

Pretty interesting, but I wouldnt call a theory definitive proof. Ive never understood how people can assume that there isnt some sort of grand architect of the universe when you consider something cant be made from nothing. ...

Might have more to do with wanting players to heal up/rest before what will inevitably be the most physical matchup either team will face all season, and less to do with psychological reasons....
