T - Tops

The only reason T-tops existed is because the government banned or threatened to ban convertibles for a while. It was sort of a workaround that never worked that well. They leaked, they rattled, there was no place to stow them, people stole them... but the idea of them is pretty sweet.

The diesel engine they put in Oldsmobiles. Part of what killed the brand.

My first new car. 1984 Ford EXP. Mine had louvers, sun roof, raised white letter tires, 5 speed, no air conditioning, two seater and about $2500 worth of stereo in that bitch

1983 Corvette.

Interestingly enough it is also the rarest Vette

Not exactly from the 80s, but I miss exterior wood grain panels. And how ceilings would sag after 5 years and had to be stapled up.

All of them?

The '80s were the worst for American cars.

"Piston engines go boing boing, Mazda goes Mmmmmmmmm"

That was Mazda's ad slogan when I was a kid trying to sell rotary engines.

Wasn't the only one in existence just missed by the sink hole at the museum?
