Gotta be pop-up headlights or automatic seat belts.

i will give honorable mention to the headlight wipers.

I loved those. Apparently there were safety issues, though, especially if you didn't buckle the lap belt, which sort of made the "automatic" feature somewhat pointless - I still liked it.

Had a great-great uncle with these and a gigantic hood ornament on his Mercedes when I was little (late 80's). I was fascinated by it.

He died earlier this year and last time I spoke with him we were talking about his old car.

That pop up lighter. My mom warned me but I had to put my finger on it. I've still got the swirl marks. It's a hell of a way to take off ones fingerprints.

Cylinder deactivation was a shite show back then and GM still doesn't have it figured out completely, yet uses it anyway
