What is usually the best company to use in this state. Geico has been charging my $200 a month.

I can't imagine getting a cheaper quote than Geico. They quoted me at $111 today.

I had excellent luck with Shelter Insurance - I was clean - no tickets / DWIs and my premium was very reasonable - paying 6 months instead of monthly saved some as well.

Funny. With Geico I pay about $500 every 6 months. Progessive wanted $1100 every 6 months, Allstate wanted $1300 every 6 months. That esurance, Allstate knockoff wanted $900 every 6 months.
State Farm was similar to those.

I can't figure out why Geico is so much cheaper for me, but it is. Same insurance coverage.

Geico was $300 cheaper per month than Allstate... 3 vehicles.

I have Geico and better service- win/ win.

If you are eligible look into USAA. Just got new insurance and it was a pretty solid rate from them. And they are very easy to work with when it comes to claims.

I have my wife and I insured to the gills through Progressive and with a $100 deductible and a discount for having our homeowner's policy through their sister property writer we're paying $202/month.

I feel like we're getting ripped off. Haven't made a claim on insurance in years and added her 3 years ago.

After this thread I checked Geico and a 100/300/100 with $250 deductible was $50 less than what I pay now with Progressive a month.

Just switched to Geico. Liberty mutual was cheapest for me 3 years ago.

Just a warning: if you ever have to file a claim and they find out your car was not typically garaged at the address on file (say, in LA instead of TX), they may very well deny coverage because you were not paying the appropriate premium.

I'm not well versed in insurance law, but I would agree with that. Not accurately representing yourself in your filings is probably a bad idea. The risk of having claims denied would not likely outweigh the premium reduction.
