this is such bullshite

studying hard in high school and being able to make it through tough upper level college course work are not the same thing. scoring high on standardized tests shows intelligence which is the biggest indicator of college success. sure, there are plenty of smart kids who frick around and flunk out, but there are a lot more high GPA/low ACT kids who can't hack it.

what is a "bad" test taker?

i mean if you have some issue that affects your score? ok. that means your 32 will be a 31 or 30

that student isn't getting a 20-23 unless he/she has a stroke during the test

I only took it once and scored a 24. I would have had to try again...

That's retarded. Should be 23-up

A lot of people that don't do standardized tests well are perfectly capable graduates and workers.

I think that's what I got, but I could've sworn the max was like 32? (1980)

I thought it was a 36 in the early 90s...

I got a 32.

Good. Raise the GPA requirement as well.

You know, it sounds like you are saying that black students as a whole aren't smart enough for higher standards and can't achieve at the level of their peers. I'd never sign off on a notion like that. I believe in equality. Should we lower the height requirement for basketball scholarships when it comes to Asian players?

I am not saying anything other than all people and races are created equal. I don't know why Asians are not as good at basketball but it was nothing to do with height since all races are the same. Maybe an emphasis isn't placed on it from a young age in their culture? Since we are all created equal though I have no doubt that if they tried to be just as good as black players and were given all of the societal advantages black players are given there is no doubt there would be just as many Asians as blacks playing college basketball.

''Yeah, it's been 36 for awhile.

Maybe I'm just remembering 32 so I don't feel so bad.

Why are we getting what is good enough to succeed in college confused with what deserves a scholarship? They aren't the same.

I think there should be a sliding scale for ACT scores for TOPS, but gpa of 3.0 is required across the board.

25 - partial tuition
28 - full tuition
30+ - other perks

I think this is about perfect. I would like to see schools offer aid to students who perform well once in college. If a kid doesn't qualify out of HS (Pectus) but keeps a 3.5 or so their first two years in college I think they are worth investing in. Don't know if that is feasible or not?
