I just cut out cokes and cut back on the fried food. I might omit some items, like french fries. I believe in moderation. If I'm feeling less than good about myself I might go for a grilled chicken salad; but that's rare.

I'd like to claim to eat healthy, but 6 months ago I had a slice of pizza so I can't.

My definition of eating healthy is just eating real food. Staying away from heavily processed foods. Keep things simple. Lots of fresh veggies prepared simply and grilled or roasted meats.

So far this morning, I´ve had two pieces of pizza, a wheatgrass shot, and a large Mojo Green juice (spinach, spirulina, orange, mango).
I ´eat eclectic´.

The scale tells me that I 'eat healthy.' 10 years ago when I retired I was 5-8, 150. Today I'm 5-8, 149. I do not count calories. I avoid fat, salt and sweets. I exercise every day but it's not to stay fit. I enjoy it.

Means different things to different people and in different contexts.
For me, moderation and variety are key.
The following seems to for me and other people, as far as I can tell:
Be careful with sugar, salt and certain fats.
Try to gauge calorie intake with your metabolism and the amount of exercise you get.
Eat a variety of vegetables and fruits (I like fruits and vegetables).
Not too much fried stuff . . . just every now and then.
Avoid processed foods as much as practical.

So much bro science out there
I lost 70 lbs 7 years ago and have kept it off
Work out 5-6 days a week, weights and cardio. Eat tons of veggies and fruit and lean meats. I'm always the guy at lunch for work eating a lean piece of fish or salad with dressing on the side. People make fun of me as they are eating their wings or burger wondering why they are 60 lbs overweight.
I eat plenty of protein and carbs. I count my calories every day.
Wife and I cook for ourselves 5 nights a week. Rotate between lean steak, chicken, fish and veggies and complex carbs.
Carbs don't make you fat, a surplus of calories make you fat.
Plus our body's were meant to move, not stare at a computer all day and reach for the snack drawer.

IMO eating healthy is primarily achieved by cooking your own food (not fried) from basic ingredients and not using prepared items.

The phrase "eating healthy" means eating the bro diet in most people's eyes. Brown rice, chicken breat, broccoli, wheat bread, wheat pasta. You know, anything that Michelle Obama deems healthy now.
I won't say I'm "eating healthy", I just say I'm going to eat correctly and hit my macro nutrient numbers.

Good point. I always say I "eat badly" because I don't eat the bro diet. I think brown rice and chicken breasts is the most boring meal on earth.
But someone pointed out to me the other day that I don't eat nearly as bad as I think. I eat "normal" meals. Spaghetti, pork chops, gumbo, salads (LOVE salads), sandwiches, fish, roasted vegetables, etc. And then I have the occasional burger or pizza or fried seafood. This is not really done on purpose. I just eat what I crave and I happen to crave salads, baked fish, and vegetables often. I also crave pizza sometimes, and I get it when I crave it.
MyFitnessPal opened my eyes a lot. In the bread aisle, the brownest, grainiest, "super healthy" bread is not far enough off calorie-wise from white bread to even bother buying it. I can eat deli turkey on white bunny bread with a light slather of mayo and a slice of provolone or sharp cheddar for 350 calories. That's a low calorie lunch, and I'm not really sacrificing anything (eating kale without dressing like some people at my job do).

I wouldn't say I eat healthy I just try to stay away from high carb white foods most of the time. I've learned my body doesn't do well with breads, Pasta, rice, potatoes I feel sluggish and bloated any time I eat them. I eat fish and chicken mostly with a salad or veggies. No sodas at all only tea, coffee and water. Sodas need to be deleted from the world! Very boring but works for me.

All relative. For me, I follow a ketogenic diet, so very low carb is eating healthy to me.
People make comments about the cracklin, bacon, steak, butter, cheese, etc that I eat, but my lipid panel continues to improve while dropping body fat.
