Lol. Their companies get sued so often because the US has the most lax laws about frivolous lawsuits.
Or because white males have more companies than black males because they are more competent and have the capability to own a company.

Some pussy RA'ed the pic that is the center of this entire debacle. This is what's wrong.

The images in question were found on Slator's phone by an assistant who was asked to transfer data to a new phone, according to the lawsuit filed Monday by Knoyme King, a 50-year-old black woman who worked for Slator.

The lawsuit alleges that King was passed over for promotions and given inferior raises because of her race, that she was mistreated and that attempts were made to have her leave the company. King has worked 30 years for AT&T and is still employed there, Miller said.
1) the Pres of AT&T doesnt know how to set up a new phone?
2) transferring data from one phone to another doesnt require you to review the data personally
3) He gave a person with an axe to grind access to his phone, he deserves to get fired for being an idiot

Typical OT, it's always the victims fault, and Never the people that actually commit the offense

Sucks, but I'm sure she'll settle out of court for millions.
If I'm the lawyer, I'd show them the meme in opening statements and see how many people laugh.

Well, when your business is a phone company, and you use said phone to send shite you shouldn't, I don't mind them getting canned in that instance.
Agree.
It's not his property and it's not private.
Asking a black assistant (who has an attitude about the company) to transfer his data, knowing that pic is in there, wasn't very smart.
AT&T really had no other option in today's climate.
Think about it.

OMFG that isn't racist.

Is that meme even really racist??? I mean the language is 100% inappropriate for the workplace and I can see it being offensive to someone who finds the word itself to be offensive. But it's not like that picture particularly has any bad connotations towards black people. I guess a rich white guy using it is suddenly horrible and worth an enormous law suit

The admins are very sensitive these days after Chicken sold out with all the terrible click bait ads.

Uh yea I've received that at least 30 times. I never realized someone could actually be fired for this good lord

That's not the point.
Certainly, the picture could be deemed offensive by some. One of those "some" was his assistant.
(I am arguing this from a business perspective.)

Wasn't the image, it was the meme words in the image. Plus it was the company phone. How can anyone in that high of an position be that stupid. Smh.
Posted on 4/29/15 at 11:46 am to DavidTheGnome
This is ridiculous. The country has come to the point where people are looking for any reason to sue someone. It's now a get rich quick scheme. She should sue every rapper because they use the term in every song. Also the fact that EVERYTHING is made out to be racist, and it's only whites who are made out to be racist. News flash, black people can be racist too! It's ashame she lost her job over something that's not racist at all.

Of course it's stupid.
It's also stupid to hire walking lawsuits. so does she want a pay day or change?

If she wanted change, it'd be over.
He got fired and the public is discussing it. She is suing for $100 million dollars because she claims she wasn't promoted because she saw that image and for personal damages.
Absurdity doesn't even describe this debacle.

If the AT&T president was a black male with the same image on his phone would it still be a reason to be fired and sued?
