Host Andrew Zimmern brings "Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations" to New Orleans for an episode at 8:30 p.m. Monday (March 2) on the Travel Channel. His culinary choices this time aren't bizarre at all, as the series focuses on must-eat specialties in the cities it visits.

For Monday's episode, the show's cameras sample dishes at a half-dozen local favorites, including Johnny's Po-Boys, Commander's Palace, Antoine's and Café du Monde.

a show called "Bizarre Foods" with no bizarre foods. it's like when Adam Richman stopped eating, lost 100 pounds and still tried to give us a watered down version of Man vs. Food .

Old lady said it takes a long time to make a roux, but the chef just made it in like 15 minutes.

Every time there's a Monday Night Football game with the Saints, they show footage of Mother's Poboys. It's gonna be the same ol' stuff. If it's your only visit to New Orleans, chances are you'll end up on Bourbon Street even though it's the last place most of us locals would want to be. Cafe du Monde is the same fodder. Not defending "bizarre" or the beauty of NO cuisine, but this is what the public's perception is and will want. :::cuts to stock footage of streetcars and some semblance of a steamboat:::
