Watched a show on The Sportsman channel where they talked about deer hunting with a Ruger .44 Mag revolver. Just curious.

I've killed a bunch of hogs with one.
Only one deer.
All with .357mag
I have a .460mag that I will start hunting with this year.
I will shoot .454 Casull out of it though. .460s have too much recoil

I used to with my S&W model 29 .44mag (with Leupold scope).

Missed the biggest deer I've ever seen with it too!

My Dad has hunted with a Ruger Blackhawk .44 with a 10-1/2" barrel for the past 40+ years. He bought his first deer rifle a few years ago. Open sights... He shot so much back in the day he has his cylinder marked with which holes line up the best. That pistol is a beast!!! 2-1/2 lb trigger, that Phucker is tricky!!!

He wants to shoot a grizzly with it, I'll post pics if that happens!!!

Shot a few hogs with my .44 mag. Never really tried to deer hunt with it. I imagine it would put a hurting on it though.

I got this .460 magnum a couple years ago. Haven't had a chance to take one down with it yet, but may try this year.

Killed many deer with my .44mag Blackhawk. Have a two power scope mounted on it. I have the 10 5/8" barrel. Best shot was at 100 yards with it.

Used a 44 mag S&W this morning to kill a hog. Sucker was climbing out my pen trap. Shot was about 20 yards away.
