Who do we have that is going to replace his ability to catch screens, etc out of the backfield or are we just giving up on that all together because PT is great but at the end of his career and will get held up a lot, and do not even mention Ingram or you should get lifetime ban. Has Cadet or Robinson made that much progress or is SP changing the offense? Kinda thinking maybe SP is revamping the offense but this one surprises me more than all the others together.

Wait, you think Sproles is better than PT on screen plays? PT is one of the best screen play RB's in the league.

PT had more catches than Sproles last season, so..

Sproles = swing pass
PT= screen pass
2 different things
Cadet will replace him

I don't think you are going to enjoy saints football this year.
People get old, things change; it's the NFL. You gotta keep evolving or get lost in the shuffle

PT is getting old like I am, he is a lot bigger and they (the Seahawk style defenses in particular) often just hold him. (Never called) Sproles is small and just gets lost often times in the lines etc. His production dropped off a ton at end of year, I have no clue why. (Injury maybe?)
I love PT but does he have much left in the tank?

Ingram will not replace Sproles, but will get more carries. Stop watching if you can't handle that.

Explain to you the deal: We sent him to Philly for a 5th rounder.
Explain to you WHY we did the deal?
Sproles production since he got here in '11
11: 87 rushes 603 yards (6.9ypa); 86 receptions 710 yards; KO: 27.2 avg; PR: 10.1 avg
12: 48 rushes 244 yards (5.1ypa); 75 receptions 667 yards; KO: 26.8 avg; PR: 8.0 avg
13: 53 rushes 220 yards (4.2ypa); 71 receptions 604 yards; KO: 21.3 avg; PR: 6.7 avg
in every statistical category, his production is going down.

Cadet, ok I will buy that. Swing screen same basic shite to me really sorry you are right I should have said swing pass.
NFL teams usually copy whatever philosophy wins the superbowl so everyone will hold like mfers this year and I hope we do too. That is my concern. Cadet is fine but drops too many swing passes trying to run before he catches the ball.
And yes, Ingram is a good person but a backup running back in the NFL at best. He is slow to the hole, (Per professional NFL analyst not just me) and you can fix a lot of things but I don't think that is one of them. I think we are all gonna suffer Paytons hubris on that one.

at the moment at least.

Ingram had a few nice catches at the end of the season. I think he is highly capable of this aspect of the game, just hasn't had many opportunities behind Sproles and PT. Now ban me for life.

Ok we will see then. Go Cadet.
You want a ban bet on Ingram cracking 1000's or having more yards to PT?

bc payton was the only one who was high on ingram in the draft???
I'm not ingram apologist by any means, but like I said; expect to see heavy doses of him this season. He earned it with his play at the end of the year. (minus the one play that morphed him instantly into a "chronic fumbler"). His vision sometimes leaves something to be desired. The one play that comes to mind last season was where the o-line opened up a huge hole as he was running a stretch to the right, and he jukes like hes gonna hit it and then runs out of bounds trying to get to the corner. Then they show the replay from behind the line and it's like "What the hell man, that was the red sea parting there."
Our oline play was pretty terribad on running plays though. Improve the oline, and he might look like a superstar.
