It's a bit early to tell if this guy's kids are going to be heavy drug users

Don't lump those in with each other. De La Salle is on a different level of shitness than the rest of those schools.

Well that's just where all the kids that get kicked out of the private schools go so I figured it should be included as a potential succession plan.

oh come on glass. Compared to Fortier maybe, but are you telling me you would let your son go to De La Salle? The academics may not be as shitty as people make it sound here, but its like condemning your kid to rehab

He is there now. Went to Trinity and Lusher for one year. I couldn't be happier. The school isn't anything like when I was in high school. Teachers are involved and he really likes it.

People saying it is a druggie school are incorrect. Franklin, Lusher, CD, Newman and others have a lot more of that currently. It really is a pretty dorky school.

Well shite, I apologize. I'm glad its improved socially.. I'm just saying that when I was in high school, it had an epidemic drug problem. Academically, its better than people think (having visited, I agree about the dork factor which is a good thing). My negative impressions were from the kids I knew who went there and were big time trouble makers.

Most of the top tier privates and Catholics school kids have access to any drug they want. Comes with having affluent kids unfortunately. The more money a kid has, the better drugs usually. Drugs are at every school. I went to Jesuit and knew plenty of popular jocks who did well academically and did coke, weed, ex on the reg. Not saying all kids but it is there.
