Did she go to Tulane law school? If so, I know who you're talking about.

she is thinking st dominic for middle school.

i have to admit, we go to church there on sundays and the amount of kids and families there is very cool, it's got a great vibe.

It's probably been said. Jesuit is the best. Every other school ranks far below. /thread

Not been said because it doesn't need to be said.

I'm friends with a good number of them, but some odd birds come out of CD.

GF teaches there, but was wise to take the kids out and get them in the archdiose. It was actually cheaper for her at CD, but the kids are very entitled.
There are some strange kids at that school. Birthday parties are even weirder, but I always hate talking to the parents.

"Hey Zach, so what do you do?"
-"I have an appliance repair company"
"Oh, I'm sorry.."

That hottie that was running for Judge in JP was at the last one I went to, met Vilma a few times too.
But the kids I feel would not of had it good coming from University city and trying to keep up with the Old Metaire crowd.

No, you must be the first.

I'll be sure to pass the memo along to the dozens of unemployed/unemployable frick ups I know who went there.

It's good. Seems to have a high suicide rate though.

Your experience is pretty indicative of the entire NO private school social scene, I'm afraid (except for maybe McGehee). Whether its CD, St martins, or Newman, the parents are all trying to out climb each other socially. It doesnt weigh that much on the kids I dont think.

Like any decent school, you get what you put in. You can't motivate the unmotivated

Like this school a lot. The priest is awesome, it's small and the principal is a trip. She brought me beer while I was working a booth at the fair and I had a nice talk with her.

I have actually gone to a few Friday masses there too. Really nice school with the class size and all.

I agree, LE, which is why I think it's funny when the Jesuit crowd tries to act like everyone who goes there becomes a Senator or a millionaire.

Most kids growing up in the Lakeview area will probably be heading to one of the Catholic high schools. Old Metairie and Uptown tend to go more private imo.

your kid will most likely tell you where they want to go to school. unless you are born into a family with an employee at one of the schools and the decision is made at birth
