Not saying it's the best, but four pages so far and no mention of Taqueria El Limon? Doesn't anyone else here enjoy their beef tongue tacos?

Had a bad experience there involving a bug in a sandwich.

Can't go back now.

only ninfas to eat at is the original on Navigation in Houston

owner died 20 years ago and family sold it out and it was expanded with different recipes and turned into a chain.

pisses me off because it tastes nothing like the original and might as well be called something else.

the original is still one of my top 5 mexican places.

La Carreta's on Bluebonnet is on my do not visit again list.... Last two times I've gone service has been horrible, food came out warm/cool, and the margarita wasn't good (seriously how do you mess this up)

Sad I've always enjoyed Hammond location when I lived in Hammond

Yea just service/meal coming cool/cold/warm was an issue. I mean the strawberry margarita my SO had was one that wasn't mixed properly, basically they just poured strawberry stuff on top and brought it. Mine just had an odd flavor to it, thing that ticked me of was, our waiter never came back to ask us if we wanted seconds after he brought our meal either. We sat they brought us chips, he came took drink/food order, brought us drinks, brought food, then didn't come back. I had to flag him down to get check and at 8pm on Monday night they were not busy.

I vote for the joint with the strongest margaritas and the smelliest carpeting, Carlos. If he would just add a TV playing violent movies in Spanish it would be like North Matamores.

Solid and I agree

and the 10 year old kid waiting table kinda freaks my dates out.

That was directed at the snobs on here that constantly bash any other location of any restaurant other than the original. Guaranteed if you name a place with more than one location, someone will talk shite about the new one.

But seriously I stick by my La Carretta comments.
