I just bought a big tub of this and used it to make donuts and pancakes as well as used it to season my cast iron skillet.

GOOD STUFF. geez, its amazing how good food tastes when you're not frightened into using some kind of crazy arse oil with no flavor.

Gonna make some enchiladas this weekend using it I think. I feel like I discovered a lost marvel..like we forgot how to build a lightbulb or something.

My favorite camping food is campfire donuts fried in lard.

I like lard, but not the hydrogenated stuff sold in tubs. Read the label....if its hydrogenated, it's all the worst of fats in one....saturated plus the trans fats of hydrogenated. Now if your talking about good leaf lard or home rendered stuff not produced in a factory, I'm a fan.

That industrial crap in a bucket is a highway straight to the cardiac hospital.

One of the things on my bucket list is to get some good pure lard and fry chicken in it. Also oysters, fish and shrimp and I might even do a few pork chops. Not all at the same time, but over time.

The only way I'd be afraid of lard is if you used it to cook me one of your personally aged individual steaks.

My mother uses lard instead of shortening to make incredible light, flakey pie crusts..

Can't beat lard.
