re: Lawmakers introduce bill to void 'Redskins' trademark

Anybody who is offended by the name "Redskins" really needs to reevaluate their life and their delicate sensibilities.

Bad move IMO

Trademark eligibility should be determined by the courts as it already has been I believe in the case of the Redskins

The president of the...Skins has made it clear he will never voluntarily change the name. But, again, a huge waste of tax payers' dollars just to quiet a very small minority, most who do not live in the area or care bout the team.

Maybe the Redskins can change their name to the Powhatans. The Powhatans were an Indian tribe around the DC area and it would allow the Redskins to stay with the Indian theme. That would be analogous to the Florida State Seminoles.

I would totally wear that if it wouldn't make me feel like John McClain in Die Hard With a Vengance.

After this can we finally stop calling black people "black". They are clearly more of a chocolate flavor.

I also want to be called tan instead of white.

Its offensive.

If I were actually referred to by my real skin tone my race would "tracing paper".

When I was like 3, I saw my first black person in preschool. I remember going home and telling my parents there was a chocolate girl at daycare. True story.

I swear, my kids until just recently referred to black people as brown people and white people as tan and light brown. It wasn't until third grade that they learned what racism is/was through history lessons taught in class. Now they refer to people as black and white the way the government wants us to.

As much as Snyder likes to nickel and dime their fans, I am surprised he doesn't want to change the name so everyone has to buy new merchandise.

Snyder might be behind this whole name change initiative. He is a capitalist after all.

If they want to smash merchandise sales records for ALL TIME, they should change the name to the Fightin' Honkeys.

Because white people wouldn't give a shit, and would wear it to prove that point.

Okay. I offer a compromise from my "negroes" suggestion.

The Washington Neutral-Skins.
