3 legit local micro brews - local could be from the state or at least from the region

Guinness

I would tend to agree except that there are too many places that have poor Guinness on tap.

Give me:
- a craft American IPA (Green Flash or something equivalent would work) .. need something approachable for novices yet still good enough to satisfy the beer nerds.
- NOLA Irish Channel Stout
- a good Belgian ale

I didn't include local brews because I was speaking in national terms.

No, I bet you could pour PBR, Coors, Bud and Busch into a glass for a blind taste test and nobody would be able to tell the difference between any of the beers.

Heady Topper
Cantillon St Lamvinous
Mikkeller Weasel

Realistically I'd be happy with
Canebrake
Nola Seasonal
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

R2R, I agree with the concept. Every place should have a West Coast style IPA, a nice stout, and a good Belgian/Belgian style ale.

Guinness
travels poorly, you typically can´t get a good one in Europe, how are you going to get a good one on tap in the US?

I'd have a hell of a time choosing just 3, can't even pick my top ten locally anymore.

I'll just go with the 3 22's I have at the moment.

Gigantic IPA
Alaskan White Wheat
Deschutes Mirror Pond Ale
