An automatic BCS bid for a few more years... that's about it.

c'mon brah. I'd say A&M has significantly

I was just referring to mid-majors. Obviously A&M did. Nebraska may have also. WVU did. There are more than a few that were already in BCS conferences that made upgrades.

But for all the mid-majors moving around, only TCU and Utah really escaped out of the md-major realm.

They're not going to get one on par with the Big Five conferences, but they may get one better than the Sun Belt, C-USA, or Mountain West thanks to geography as much as anything else.

Looks like the Bleast wants to be the first nationwide time-zone spanning superconference. Sadly it'll be a supercrappy one.

There are also some mid-major basketball programs that helped themselves, but the only ones that stick out are VCU and Butler.

Well, if you don't consider the Big East a major conference anymore, then I think the teams that jumped ship recently like West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse and Rutgers all improved their lot in life as well.

Plus the ones that did it a while back... Miami, VA Tech, and Boston College.

Isn't Boise State looking to get back to the Mountain West? I don't think that Boise makes it to the Big East since it has substantially declined since the intitial agreement to make the move.

TCU and Utah might be the only teams that legitimately improved their standing in the CFB landscape during all the conference shuffling.

It's most certainly an improvement over CUSA 1.5

Because they are about to lose Louisville, UConn, and probably Cincinnati. Tulane can claim that they will bring the New Orleans metro market (even though we all know otherwise).

why is it a sure thing they are losing Louisville and Cincy? Are they going to the Big 12?

they won't dominate the market, but the games will still be shown there.

so, in a sense, they can in fact deliver the market.
