What are we supposed to be laughing at here? Tulane or the big east? I'm not sure.

Good move for Tulane getting out of CUSA

Define "decent".

They're not going to get one on par with the Big Five conferences, but they may get one better than the Sun Belt, C-USA, or Mountain West thanks to geography as much as anything else.

Is this a good move? Any possibility of joining one I the super conferences in the next 10 years?

If Tulane and SMU can get their shite together with athletics I think they could be future members in the ACC if schools like VaTech and NC State leave.

Perfet move for Tulane since most of their student body is from the Northeast.

Nothing yet. C-USA is still around for the moment.

a very good move

laugh all you want at the football side but IMO they'll be fine

basketball is going to kill in this conference, wow

good fit for both sides if you view it without some agenda (you know who you are)

How about this for a basketball league:
G'Town
Marquette
Villanova
Depaul
Dayton
St Louis U
Providence
St Johns
Seton Hall
Xavier
St Bonnie
Fordham - I guess
LaSalle

That's 13, find another Catholic school or kick out Fordham and that's not a bad league.

ETA: Forgot about St Joes and Duquesne. A 15 team league wouldn't be unweildly.

Lol, I know they are the flagship, but WIST sure is hyping this up. "Now Tulane coaches can legitimately go in to New Orleans homes and tell kids they could compete in a conference where you can compete for a national championship"

this is the funny part of the whole thing. Its good that Tulane is getting out a dying CUSA but its not like they are joining a growing and improving Big East. Its a Big East that was/is on life support with regards to its football status. Its basically just CUSA all over again. The big 6 conferences are now the Big 4 + ACC...

TCU and Utah might be the only teams that legitimately improved their standing in the CFB landscape during all the conference shuffling.

So this is CUSA 2.0, is it really any improvement?
