Serious question, and this is assuming no change in the staff. Alabama will be reloading and it is beginning to look like Saban has Les' number. Sumlin has done an incredible job in his first year, remember how nobody around here thought they'd hold up in the SEC. TAMU is recruiting well and is sure to add defensive depth, making it the first spread team that can play some real D. Who here would want to play them again at this point in the season?

LSU is going to win it all next year bro. Haven't you been reading the sunshine pumpers propaganda?

Some of our fans probably root for the Cubs too

I believe as long as Saban is at Bama it will be Bama 1 and either LSU or aTm 2. As long as LSU can continue to put out 10 win seasons, with an occasional seccg, I'll be satisfied.

Having someone's number is beating them 9 out of 10 times, not 4 out of 7.

TAmu loses too much. Barring injuries, lsu has a great shot at the west next year with having UF, tamu, Arky, auburn all at home. Lsu tough games will be TCU early and in tuscalooser IMO.
Arky will likely have some spread coach like dykes who can flat out coach and recruit Texas and Louisiana. Look for them to shoot up fast.
I think sec defensive coordinators will learn how to stop these offenses from scoring and while they may give up a lot of yards, they will win games. Ask Oregon and wvu. Player development on playing zones and athleticism by linebackers will be the key to LSU staying elite on D if our safeties learn their assignments. It's going to be interesting to see how many defensive starters we lose. Both safeties, 3 or 4 regular dlineman and our starting middle linebacker may devastate this defense.
I hope all the juniors stay for their own development. Some could use the extra work to improve their draft status.

it will be LSU, Alabama, and A&M battling it out for the west next year. Mett is going to be like a different player next season. Took him a while to get use to SEC level football. He is just missing on all those long throws. Next year he is going to be hitting those.

A&M beat bama this year and almost beat LSU. They will be tough from here on out. Not to mentiion 'JOhnny Football' will be back. What is going to make A&M a perrinally top tier team is they are the only SEC school in Texas. That is a hugh pool of talent to recruit from.

Bama is going to be bama. So of course they are going to be tough.

Dude. The LSU/Ala/A&M matchups all could have gone either way. As they probably will next year. They all came down to the wire. Nobody has anybody's number. It's SEC football at its best.

I agree. It's a toss up. Especially so as Manziel gains experience... he's going to be tough to contend with for the next few years.

Manziel won't be as good next year. He surprised alot of people this year and was still mediocre at home against LSU.

If you old timers remember...

Losing to the Gumps on a consistant basis is what got Charlie Mac fired.

Come'on Man. This season is not over yet and you're already blowing Bama's next year team? Grow a pair bro. We basically handed Bama that game.

We will be better as well. We tied for playing the second most freshman in the country this year. All of that experience those young guns got this year will make for an easier transition.

Don't short change yourself, we have recruited well too. LSU will reload like we always do.

ATM has 2 offensive linemen that are slated to go to the NFL. Joeckel and Matthews. Replacing NFL caliber linemen is not easy.

So far no spread team plays really serious D. It's been known as an offense that can give much less talented teams a shot against the stronger ones simply by out scoring them. As an aside LSU with JJ at the controls might have been seriously embarrassed by Okie St in the BCSNC by not being able to score enough. With limited scholarships spread HC's put most of the talent on offense at the expense of their D. But what happens if a team like TAMU, who is beginning to recruit on a level field with Texas, begins to stock up on both sides of the ball. Then it becomes really scary.

A&M had a Freshman QB and a new coach and dominated LSU on the field of play. 26 first downs to 18. 410 yards to 316. Luckily, Aggies turned it over five times, and we didn't turn it over once--and got a five point win.

Manziel is the 4th rated QB in the SEC. Mett is 12th.

Unfortunately for A&M, they'll be getting re-introduced to Tiger Stadium, hopefully at night.

LSU wins.

A&M loses much of their O line. They will not be as good next year. LSU returns nearly everybody. I like our chances to have a dominating team.

You have to consider the injuries we've had this year. We have underclassmen starting all over the place. You come out of high school and help your team go 10-2 in the SEC? Thats insane. LSU will continue to compete for #1 in the West.

I hope you are right. Didn't realize Mett was the 12th rated QB. With the same OC and staff in place, an assumption of the OP, what makes you think he'll get any better? He ain't getting any faster, and he needs Usain Bolt to catch up with his long balls.

Tiger Stadium at night is special, but Johnny Manziel didn't seem the least bit phased by a packed Bryant-Denny. He's a cocky, confident dude, I see him looking forward to it.
