re: Program similarities between LSU & Texas - Jesus Prejean
I am in both Austin and Baton Rouge a lot. Texas definitely has better facilities. But LSU's are good, and LSU fans are unbeatable. LSU has an advantage few colleges do: it essentially has no in-state competition from a public university re: athletic allegiance. (No, the Ragins Cajuns aren't ...

re: Program similarities between LSU & Texas - Jesus Prejean
One caveat is the Texas $$ from 2010-2013 were with a down football program (5-9 wins per year), while LSU's football program was winning 10-13 games every one of those years and played for the natl cship once. When Texas returns to winning, its $$ will skyrocket. Another caveat is that LSU's $$ ...

re: Chavis departure details - Baton Rouge Advocate - Jesus Prejean
A&M will pull out their oil and gas petty cash drawer and flip a $400,000 bill to Alleva, only after they extract some lawyer/PR pain from him (and LSU). Alleva's first PR reaction on this looked awful. Like a spurned girl at a dance, to a division rival no less. So he's better off keeping radio ...

re: What are your feelings regarding LSU's offense. - Jesus Prejean
Pro-set works great when you have a pro-caliber QB (how many colleges actually have one of those?). Otherwise your D better give up only 14 points per game. You're better off using no huddle, up tempo spread if you don't have a pro QB. But it's too taxing mentally for some players to execute the...

re: To any JUCO QB out there: Take a look at LSU's WRs - we STACKED - Jesus Prejean
Touche I hope Les was watching Urban's THIRD string QB put up 500+ yards on Saban's five stars defense. That's not going to happen with a guy who can't throw the ball. ...

re: To any JUCO QB out there: Take a look at LSU's WRs - we STACKED - Jesus Prejean
Jake Hubenak at Blinn JC (Cam Newton, Michael Bishop are exes) is sick. Watched the guy in high school his senior year (was injured his HS junior year, which hurt his recruiting). Grades are the issue I think. If he makes his grades, offer him. He would wreck with LSU's receivers. ...

re: Where have teams like TCU and Baylor come from..... - Jesus Prejean
TCU actually spends $2M per year more on football than LSU does ($26M to $24M). LSU significantly outspends Baylor. Gary Patterson and Art Briles are superb at developing 2 and 3 star talent. Now they're getting 4 and even 5 stars. Both coaches also dominate on their side of the ball (D for ...

Was on first row behind LSU bench tonite. Blown away by Jamal Adams - Jesus Prejean
This freshman was making plays and disrupting things all over the place: on D, on kickoffs, on punts, in the secondary, blitzing, even during TV timeouts while talking to his teammates or to the opposition or to the coaches. This guy is a leader and all the upperclassmen listened to him like a coach...
