2nd on depth chart behind Jarvis Landry
So he gets nicked up the first week of practice and drops to next to last out of all the receivers?
He's been out of practice and that essentially that has him about 6th on the depth chart...which is about where I had him prior to changing this today. That is just a short write up about each player going into camp, they have a lot of guys in the same spots under their profiles. Cant move Turner up or stay the same if he isn't even practicing. Bottom the WR depth chart isn't a big deal either. Not like he's going to play much either way.

Don't think it matters where they are at this point, nobody knows exactly where they end up. Both are redshirting.

That's good. I was hoping he would be able to see the field this year somehow.

quote:So your logic is that the only possible reason to bring in a guy basically for free who has over a season's worth of starting QB experience at a BCS conference school to add to a depth chart containing exactly one player who's ever taken a snap in a college football game is because he's completely written off everyone else on the depth chart?
But I am just using logic here. Les goes out and gets a guy like him at the 11th hour to be THE backup to Mettenberger as he doesn't want Rivers or Randall playing this year as he still has 2008 jitters. We all know this and will just have to accept it.
Are you people completely incapable of grasping the concept of risk reduction? Let's say you have 3 prepared action plans. Your main plan has a 90% chance of success and the two contingency plans each have a 40% chance of success. Now you are given the option of adding a 3rd contingency plan with a 25% chance of success at no cost. Why exactly would you not do it?
Bolden adds an experienced option to a depth chart lacking in only one thing: experience. No, it does not have to make him a better option than Rivers or Randall, it just makes him an additional option, in addition to Rivers and Randall. The real logic to apply here is to realize that a depth chart including Mett, Rivers, Randall and Bolden is better than a depth chart including only Mett, Rivers and Randall. And Bolden doesn't have to be better than Rivers or Randall to make that true.

Goodness gracious the future is bright for LSU.

I'd split up the wide receivers into outside guys (OBJ and Wright, then boone's backing up) and slot guys (Landry and Shep is the backup). Thats the fab 5 right there

Also, Debo jones has been running with the 2s behind Tahj as the SAM backer opposite muncie.
Anyone know what side LLouis LPhillips and KAlexander have been lining up on? weakside or strongside? Probably working at a couple spots each..

I could see Landry and OBJ being outside receiver with shep in the slot.
No way wright passes up shep IMO.

quote:i like most of your list but i dont see how you come to the conclusion that miles doesn't want to play rivers or randall, why the reason cant be that he just wanted depth at the qb position.in fact rivers has been working behind mett, while randall has been working with the incoming players.
Les made it pretty clear he doesn't want to play Rivers/Randall (probably sees 2008 all over again)

Agree to disagree, not really going to get into the Bolden debate on this thread...

They have been rotating the freshmen there seeing what they bring. What was last said is Louis has a small edge because of getting here last spring.

It's been that way for a while. Wright has been talked about at the starting X WR since spring and it's carried over into fall camp. Shepard has fallen out a bit.
